This place clearly knows how to treat their customers. Constantly with a friendly attitude. The food is fairly priced, regularly delightful and neat.

This place is excellent if you're looking to eat and have a place to stay for the month. The office housing in back is just right when you're tired from too much sushi and just don't want to drive. They usually have 10 or so people back there so you can just bunk up as it's first come first serve. Don't let the heroin needles and the plywood windows and doors fool you, it's a place worth going!

This restaurant is no doubt one of the best place in the neighborhood. Anytime I come to this place I am highly satisfied. They maintain their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Fine location for tasty Japanese food. The service was very helpful and observant. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

Apparently a reincarnation of "Sake," this Chinese-run restaurant seems to be geared mostly to the hibachi-meat-gobbling and alcohol-guzzling public. We did not fit this profile tonight and felt under-appreciated and rushed, even though we were the only customers at the time. The waiter lacked manners, was on his phone a lot, did not ask how we liked the food and presented the bill then we were still eating. My "Ocsushi roll and the miso soup were all right, the vegetable tempura just barely so and there was no vegetarian dipping sauce for it. The rice was served when the tempura had been pretty much consumed (after the meal, Chinese-style?). There is no vegetarian option in the special sushi roll section of the menu ... and that in *Santa Cruz*! *Latest News: The place has been shut down and boarded up by the local authorities--while the "Grand Opening" banner is still flying ...

Place is closed indefinitely, due to being red tagged for various issues, including electric, plumbing, mechanical, and illegal rooms.

I came here with a large group and about half of us got hibachi. Our chef messed up a few times and broke the eggs when he was trying to do tricks which isn't a huge deal but the food was awful. My mean was the chicken teriyaki entree (not hibachi) and it tasted nothing like teriyaki. The food looked like it was been sitting out for hours, the chicken was try and tasteless, barely any sauce. I couldn't even get halfway through the plate. They also ran out of sake for sake bombs, only half of the table was able to get a cup of sake. Normal hibachi price but the quality was terrible, not worth, will not be eating here again unfortunately.

Food was decent. Would have given a 4 star until I went it the restroom. It was horrendous. The white door was black with dirt and toilet hadn't been cleaned in a long time! Decent food but when the bathroom is that bad it makes you concerned about the cleanliness. Staff and hibachi chef was great.

What a great way to celebrate a Birthday or 2 . Got there before the rush

Was Sake, now Ginza. Honestly, the teppan yaki dinners are the reason to come here. The sushi is average, but the show put on the by the chefs over the teppan tables is great. Each table seats 8, and you can make a reservation.

One of the worse restaurants I've been to in the US. They could barely speak English and failed in everything I asked. I asked draft beer and they brought it bottled, refusing to change it because "they opened the bottle already", I asked water and they never brought it, I communicated my allergy to dairy and they cooked everything in butter. Stay away, especially if you have allergies!
