Honestly mid tier food. If you want to come to Santa Cruz for food don’t come here. My friends and I were not impressed. The atmosphere was weird too. The mangers are not the nicest.

The owner is so caring, she checked on us multiple times. Short ribs and stew are delicious.
We got a really expensive soup... it was literally 6 pounds if bones and like maybe half a pound of actual meat on this 6 lbs if bones. Other than that, it seemed clean inside and the food was average.

The service is great! I was fasting and arrived half an hour early, the waitress was super kind and accommodated us early. She gave us plenty of time to choose and the order came perfectly on time - the food was good, nothing spectacular. I found the Korean fried chicken to be a bit on the sweeter side, the beef and veg stew had less beef than I had expected, but the free korean side dishes were pretty good - especially the fish cakes! The atmosphere was nice, and overall, nothing to complain about. Pricing is good, I would recommend Sesame if anyone's looking for a Korean place to go to in Santa Cruz!

Been here previously for a DoorDash pickup and had a very pleasant experience. Came back a second time—wish I could say it was a good experience but it was not. My order was never received by the store and instead of apologizing or attempting to still make the order right I was dismissed in an unfriendly manner and told to just contact DoorDash. It felt like I was treated as an inconvenience even when there was only one other couple dining in. Needless to say I won't be coming back
