Terrible service, they didn't call us when the espresso was ready. 8$ for the worse espresso of my life. Zero stars for the service.

Amsterdam. London. Zurich. I’m a Starbucks person. I might wish otherwise but it’s true. I’ve known employees, the brand, inner workings and the culture. I sit in this Starbucks twice or three times a week and it is outstanding . From the honesty when it’s busy to the safety of the staff and guests that Heather demands (they have dealt with serious issues swiftly and strongly) I can only suggest we appreciate the commitment the staff have to the people that come here. It’s RARE. Even within their network. So please, be patient, be kind, and be appreciative because very kind people work awfully hard to deliver for a company in flux.

Coffee was ready fast but I didnt hear them call my name so I stood there waiting about 15 minutes. They saw me waiting but never informed me my coffee was ready. Till I asked. Partly my fault but not entirely.

All Abbey and Ashley want to do is chit chat and hang out. I get it, have fun at work, but if you don’t know how to both talk and wipe down a steam wand when you’re done with a drink (which Ashley didn’t do, she left milk on it for 5 minutes before steaming another drink with a dirty wand) then maybe save the convo for later. The lobby wasn’t at all full, maybe 3 people ahead of us, and our drinks took 30 minutes. Drinks however, were just fine, but not bad.

I suggest ordering online for this location in Sta. Cruz. Staff are friendly and nice, but due to the high volume of orders, if you order on site, it may take a while. The location is very convenient, and you can have a sip of your coffee in peace since there's a lot of seats available.

Most of the people here don't seem to understand that there's rules and policies the employees have to follow. This place is amazing and are willing to work with you and make the best drink as possible. Yes the paper cups suck but it's not the barista fault. Cold drinks now come with more room on the top and that doesn't mean they didn't fill up your drink, they served you what you asked for. To get the code for the restroom you must be a purchasing customer and it's giving out at the register, please don't bother the baristas making drinks for a code. That is not their responsibility and there's a policy in place that it must be giving out at the register. Also water cups are also for purchasing customers and there is a 25 cent feed due to santacruz. PEOPLE don't expect to just come in and get a water and use the restroom. My only complaint is I wish they had better parking and the place looks like it could get remoled thankyou.

Served watered down tasteless drinks in huge paper cups loaded with ice. Waste of $20! Never seen a Starbucks this bad!

Soooo, this looks like any other Starbucks on the outside but it's a different story altogether. Half the time they do it right, yk correct drink, timely manner, courteous service, but the other half it's really disappointing, there have been multiple times where I order a hot drink just to open and lid and find that it's severely under filled like I'm talking more than an inch. At that point I might as well have gotten a smaller size and paid less :(. Moreover, I always order ahead and two separate times in the morning when it was not busy (I'm talking 3 people), I have had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a drink which doesn't sound so bad right ? Well when there are other people placing orders after you and getting drinks before you its like ?? I know my drink that comes from the tap cannot take that long to make, I watched you do it in 2 minutes. I understand at the end of the day that it's a privilege to even buy drinks from Starbucks but if I'm dropping over 7 dollars on a drink and least fill the damn thing up 💔💔.
Edit: I'd like to also add that what everyone else is saying about the ambient space is spot on. The fact that there are no chairs no area for sugar or cream coupled with the dark ass walls and bright white overhead lighting makes it feel like they don't even want you there 😭. So much less welcoming with the way they have it set up as of right now.
