Food: got customized coffee here 4/5 pretty good! The quiche is also yummy. Service: 5/5 friendly and attentive Ambiance: atmosphere is stinky :/ not sure if it's cause due to rainy day that it's soggy muck smell. It's nice there is restroom and books/board games if you just want to pass time here. Nice selection of couches and chairs to sit.

Very comfortable shop with great light and nice ambiance. Coming from Portland, this is the most at-home I've felt in Santa Cruz. The coffee (an almond milk mocha and a quad americano for my partner) we're excellent. Highly recommend and I would be a regular if I lived here.

I am usually looking for a perfect combo of vibe + good coffee + music + comfy chairs. This place got it all.

Came here to try out a local spot but had to leave without ordering. I'm sorry but you can't have homeless people sprawled on a couch I just can't. Sorry I know you want to help homeless but I can't order food and drink coffee in what feels like a homeless shelter. I understand they are outside at your tables with there possessions all on the table but I went inside and homeless dude on couch sleeping. Sorry, can't.

Decent place for coffee but I really like the decor and the funkiness of the inside. It's very Santa Cruz with the political and social opinions.

Was looking forward to coffee and pastry or a baked good other than a bagel but no luck. I’d have thought they would be well-stocked on a Sunday morning. However, it is an eclectic little place with vintage items for sale, jewelry, coin purses, handkerchiefs, etc. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-28

Really cute spacious coffee spot, solid wifi, outlets all over & a clean bathroom! Camped out here and worked remotely for a morning quite at ease, would recommend & will be back ?

I wanted to like this place, but with the overall combo of things, I just didn't like it very much. I will say that I think the pastries looked very yummy, and I'd come back for another pastry to-go only. I got the blueberry danish this time around and it was very yummy. However, the coffee was burned and not pleasant tasting - even with added sugar, I felt like gagging when I drank my cappuccino - eventually I quit trying to drink it and just tossed it in the garbage. I did eat the whole blueberry danish though, which again was yummy. I sat inside trying to get some work done, but even with my headphones in, I could hear the loud unpleasant music which made it very distracting to try to work there. Like, please turn it down so people trying to work inside can concentrate - you could put on whatever, as long as my headphones can drown it out. They do have fast and free wifi though, and have plugs for your laptop. They do have couches, though honestly they look a bit worn and gross. They kinda yucked me out, so I sat at a wooden table with a wooden chair, and it was probz the most uncomfortable I felt trying to work all year. As soon as I finished my danish I got up and left and went to a different coffee shop to finish up my work and grab a cappuccino that wasn't burnt. Overall, would come back for a yummy pastry to go, but even though I hate to say it, I'll be honest and say I'll be passing on any stay to work inside or drinking coffee.

Jeb and Lisa are outstanding community-oriented people who do righteous things for others. Bonus: excellent coffee made with a beautiful vintage espresso machine!

Great little local coffee shop downtown. Owned by people who really care about the community. They check vax cards if you want to sit inside which I truly appreciate, wish more places would do this. Homey vibe, chill place to sit and do work. They have great coffee and tea with all the classic options and it seems like they like to experiment and come up with unique drinks. Great selection of food too, I had a wonderful and HUGE slice of quiche with my oat milk latte. Everything was great. Service was a tiny bit slow but it matched my Sunday mood. Doesn't seem like the kind of place that ever gets slammed.
