Staff was very friendly and I felt very at home. But most importantly the food is FIRE. Had to come back 4 times in one week. The Al pastor super burrito was the most phenomenal burrito I’ve ver had in my life, so flavorful. We also got the birra sliders and tacos, definitely the best tacos we had our time in Santa Cruz.
Came here after a day at the beach and the food was so good! Had lots of flavor and came out fast.
Nachos were the highlight. Fresh, Loaded. Fire.
Super Quesadilla had good filling. Just wish peeps would leave the guacamole and cream and stuff outside the quesadilla, 1, and 2, put some grill on that flour tortilla. It was doughy, sloppy and felt like eating an unfolded burrito. Not a quesadilla. Disappointing.
Birria tacos were aight... but also lacking on both the cheese & the crunch. Waited hella for our order. Would rather wsit 3 more min for some of them grill marks, bb.
For a late night option, I'd def come back and just do those nachos.
Got the quesobirria tacos and they were soooo good totally recommended. They had an amazing flavor and a yummy consomé. My friend and I did a little quesobirria hunt around town and these were definitely the best ones.
god food, lots of choices using quality ingredients. It dose seem a little expensive but when you go to other taquerias around Santa Cruz it is about the same price. Would recommend going and trying it out.
Honestly, it's disgusting to eat there and the food hasn't taste good
Have had the buche and chorizo nachos twice....excellent
All there
Great food!

Food is not authentic. The burrito comes with frijoles de la olla and some type of pico de gallo, but flavor was missing. All plates ordered needed salt and simply lacked flavor.
Our biggest issue was the environment in this establishment. When we arrived it was calm; a few minutes later 2 groups of people arrived and one group brought a speaker and began blasting music. A couple started dancing in the middle of the establishment later on. The woman dancing appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The woman was loud and constantly getting up, chatting, and yelling to the people behind the counter. The owners of the establishment seemed to be fine and allowed this behavior. We were visiting and are not from the area, I’m not sure if this is typical in this establishment.
We had children along with a different family who was there with their children as well. I didn’t appreciate the fact that this was allowed.
Food was also pricey for quality and quantity. Would not recommend for these reasons.

Costillas en salsa roja and chorizo nopales con huevo were delicious. As we were standing in line, a customer recommended the costilla plate, and oh boy, was he right about how good it was! The service was exceptional!

Really glad I came by here last night.
I had ordered from the taco truck a block away a few times but the last few times I had gone there I was really disappointed in their food.. the quality and the price was not good at all so I thought I’d try this little place up the block and I really wished that I had opted to come here all those times instead of the truck..
I was happy to know they are open later than I thought and later than most places in Santa Cruz.
I ordered the queso birrhias with consommé and chili rellenos and we enjoyed all of it so much we plan on coming back in the next couple days.
The consommé was really hearty and full of flavor and beefy… the last time I went to the purple truck the consommé was terrible! It tasted like lukewarm dishwater. The other thing that I liked about Primo is their salsa options.. some of which I’ve never had before.
The food was not only better here but much much cheaper than the purple truck!!
Also, the couple that work here are so helpful and friendly.
Note; do try to pay w cash, it’s a very small fee for using a card but that’s cause the card companies charge small businesses a lot to use their credit..
I often pay cash for small mom and pop stores and restaurants anyway for those reasons.
We will be returning to try their ramen birrhia and birrhia sliders!
