if i could give it 0 stars i would. there has been many times that we go and they're absolutely rude as hell!! if you don't want to work don't be there! i work in customer service and even if customers are coming in 10 mins before closing you still have to be NICE. and help them. not be RUDE. there is one lady here that is very very nice but the other one has such a bad attitude every single time we go and last night was the last night we're ever going back. My boyfriend goes in, we got out of work and it's 11:22 and we get there he goes in we are craving mexican food and besides their attitude the food is good. so he goes in and when he comes back he's upset. the cook was making comments and the other lady taking the order was making faces. it's just a horrible place. the cook saying things like come on i had everything closed down, and just unnecessary stuff... like we are consuming!!!!! we are paying for this!!! why do they act like they're giving it for free??? next day. i get a horrible stomach ache because of their food. THANKS. will never be back here again. HORRIBLE PLACE. AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. WONT BE BACK AGAIN.

TDLR; Food was ok, customer service and worker's attitudes are absolutely disgusting. They treat customers as if they don't care about you or your business. Ordered a shredded chicken burrito with refried beans and no rice..Burrito entirely came apart when I tried to bite into it and all the contents spilled out onto the plate. The way it looked was pretty gross and I didn't want to imagine how it might look coming out if that's how it would look going in, so I just shared my girlfriends burrito with her and it was good enough, we split it and I was full and satisfied. I brought the plate of what was supposed to be a burrito that was actually just slop on a plate, and told them I already was full from sharing my gfs food and that I don't want anything else since I already ate, just a refund. The two girls at the counter tried arguing with me, offering me only half off and I had to explain over and over that I didn't even eat it, I'm not going to accept half my money back when I paid full price for something I got less than a bite out of. I explained that I genuinely tried to eat it and it just fell apart and the look of it was so unappetizing I didn't want to eat it.. I told them I'm not trying to start any problems, that I just don't want anything else and I would just like my money back, talking to them as kindly and calmly as I could and they kept trying to argue with me. Finally one of them took the food to the back to show the cooks, and after consulting with them they must have told them to just issue a refund. One of the girls opened the register, handed me the money back and just walked away. No apology, no acknowledgment of my food coming out disgusting and inedible. This really sucks because taqueria Santa Cruz used to be my absolute favorite and I refused to go anywhere else. This is not the first time I've had horrible customer service from them but I let it slide before because I thought maybe they were just having a bad day. To treat your customers so poorly and try to argue with them and then not even offer an apology and just have a disgustingly horrible attitude towards the people who are just trying to support you, I can confidently say I will never be back here. My favorite taqueria turned to my least favorite over the course of my last two trips and I will not be encouraging any of my family or friends to come here EVER. Next time try treating your customers with respect.

One of the very best Mexican spots in the county, hands down. Everything I have from here I would eat again. Although my go-to is their Shredded chicken Super Burrito. Fantastic and at a great price. Salsa's are on point too.

Scrumptious. Food was out before I came back from washing my hands. Love the booths and the colors of the walls. Amazing green salsa. My friend and I plan on becoming regulars.

Food (4.25/5): The food was yummy! I appreciated the complimentary chips--you grab salsa, pico de gallo, and radishes yourself. The salsa was not stand out but decent. The burrito portion is huge for its price in the Bay Area. Service (4.5/5): Efficient ordering at the counter followed by speedy food brought to you. They will announce your number in Spanish then bring the food to you! Everyone seemed friendly. Ambiance (4/5): It was quite lively, many people were passing in and out & many were seated for dine-in Giving 5 stars because this place is great for a casual burrito spot with a dine-in option

Wonderful food with a gorgeous atmosphere. Note that it is located inside a hotel, but of course you don't need to be a guest to eat there.

Complementary chips are always great! This place was bustling on a Sunday afternoon, and it had great food. For the prices, everything was absolutely worth it. My partner and I both chose to get super burritos, and we were both greatly satisfied with the portions, as we are both big eaters. Personally, I didn't think this restaurant was extraordinary, but this is definitely somewhere to frequent for a good and fairly-priced meal. They called numbers in Spanish, so make sure you know how to listen for the numbers!

I stopped at this spot because I was out doing storm watch in Santa Cruz... the Mexican food in Santa Cruz is ok.. this place stands out tho! The carne en su jugo goes crazy!!! I loved it! The tacos are mid but that carne en su jugo with some flower tortillas had me smiling while I was sweating! I highly suggest this place for the good service and the chill vibes! I ordered camarones al mojo de ajo or garlic shrimp. I got my plate and it was shrimp with celery, and I mean there was more chopped celery on my plate than shrimp. I was disappointed but decided to give it a try since I have never in my life have I ordered garlic shrimp and received a plate with shrimp and celery. It was disgusting! The shrimp tasted like celery, I asked if I could get a refund (I just tired 1 shrimp) and the waitress said no because there was nothing wrong with the meal. I told her I asked for garlic shrimp and nowhere on the menu does it mention the garlic shrimp has celery. She then said she didn't understand why it would taste like celery. At this point I was frustrated, I began to separate the shrimp and celery and over half the portion was celery! I got up and left because she gave me a dumb look like she didn't know why i was so upset.

Bomb carne en su jugo. Always have to stop here when I'm in town. BUT only gave it 3 stars because the bathrooms are so nasty. Go after you eat, so you don't lose your appetite.

Tacos here reminded me of tacos in TJ. Their diablo sauce is the best!
