Always busy! But worth the wait. You're going to be paying more than it's worth, but that's expected for being right next to the boardwalk. It's nice to have some healthy options after a day of amusement park treats.

with recent news of this place soon to be closing, i say good riddance! i will give this establishment one thing - the food is fresh (mostly) and the people here will always warm my heart (some of them). one thing to take away is the management, The Glass Jar (Penny Ice Creamery) is a neglectful and unauthentic company that prides themselves on being local and fresh but are certainly willing to cut costs instead on tending their business- which is probably why is shit hole is going down. and who knows ? maybe they'll do some renovations and open back up in a few weeks...but with a brand new staff who don't know any different as the current (since they fired everyone but only offered leads jobs despite some being there for longer) Rest In Piss

Great little place with great food and while the service was great I just paid over $20 for the grilled chicken bowl and got avocado toast.Pretty sure that's about a $10 difference.Too bad I only realized it after I got back to my car because I'm not from around here.Do better in the future.

It’s a great place to eat if they actually have the ingredients for the items on the menu. I love the Goldilocks Oatmeal and there are other great foods they serve but they often run out of things before 10am. I’ve been coming here a lot over the years and that hasn’t changed, you can count on them not having what you want to order if you’re not there early.

Pesto baguette was good, but very small for almost $15. Beautiful beachfront location. Reasonably quick

It's the only option in the boardwalk area that is open at 8am. Went here two times for breakfast. First visit. Ordered the avocado toast, ham and cheese croissant, and toast with jam. Avocado toast had pretty good ingredients but it was a bit overloaded with the pepita and pickled onion. No avocado slices, just guac. Ham and cheese croissant was poorly distributed. Toast that came with the toast and jam was burnt and crispy. Second visit. Ordered frittata breakfast sandwich and plain croissant. Frittata sandwich was pretty tasty. The croissant was burnt, pretty inedible. I guess someone decided toasting the croissant was the same as warming it. I think the food could get better. There were some good flavors, but some of the food wasn't executed very well.

Seafront cafeteria with inside and outside seating in between the Wharf and the Boardwalk. They serve great coffee and a wide selection of very hearty sandwiches and other goodies. Our hotel did not serve breakfast, so we were delighted to find this place. I had a yoghurt with granola and fresh fruit jelly, which was very good. My wife opted for avodado on toast (how very californian). We also ordered a Dad's Meatloaf sandwich to take away for lunch, which was very tasty and more than ample for both of us. We enjoyed our meal in the sun on the pavement terrace. We also appreciated the fact that the cutlery and food containers are all sustainable/compostible

Perhaps the nastiest breakfast burrito I've ever had. They forgot the eggs? Or maybe it doesn't come with eggs? The cheese was cold, yet separated like a broken rue. It tasted like vomit. I couldn't get past the second bite, and I'm a veteran who has literally enjoyed fake cheese and crackers as a regular deployment meal. I'm not a picky person. This was inedible.

A picnic basket was a convenient little stop right below our hotel. Very fast and convenient perfect ambiance right across the street is a beautiful view of the ocean. I actually had the breakfast burrito two days in a row. I really like the purple cabbage and feta. The second day they were out of cabbage and they let me substitute fresh greens which I believe was cilantro, arugula, onions and tomatoes. This is a nice size breakfast burrito perfect for grabbing on the go and hitting the pier or the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. There was a small line early in the morning but it moved fairly fast. The restaurant was cleaning the staff had smiling faces. I've actually been craving this now since I'm gone LOL.

I didn't love the food, just not my style I suppose. I did love the location-great ocean views. The employee behind the register was extremely kind and helpful. Only reason I gave it 3 stars is I ordered both a sandwich and the breakfast burrito and simply wasn't impressed and because it's a restaurant I base reviews mostly off of my enjoyment of the food.
