I was well attended and taken care of. Juli asked all the right question and got me what I needed. I don't come to dive bar's usually but she made the experience impeccable. I definitely recommend coming here to Te Santa Cruz experience. She made the experience exceptional!

Cool bar and lounge on Cedar Street with a speakeasy-ish look and of course red lighting throughout. The venue is only one level but two rooms (it seems they may have had a second level in the past, but none as of March 2024). Lots of seats available on a Sunday night, more seats than tables, and movable. The furnishings could use some fixing though, some seats were horribly torn (probably less noticeable under the dark red lighting, and still usable I guess). Music was cool, mainly 90's hip hop playing through the speakers, songs like Warren G Regulate. The volume was ridiculously loud in the back room, so we stayed in the front and had a more comfortable experience. We got a couple standard cocktails, which had good flavor and were made well. No problems with service, and they accept credit cards. Also, no unreasonable wait times at the bar or restrooms. The crowd here was pretty laid back, everyone seemingly just having a good time. A nice chill spot to hangout late night, we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Don’t go here, the staff tried to fight me and put hands on me. There has been many cases of this. Also, they had an issue of people getting drugged in their drinks….update the business replied and said something about a girlfriend, I didn’t bring a girl with me so they have the wrong person. And I never put hands on your staff. That’s all false information. Which is crazy because it implies that this happened to someone else as said by the owner! Further proving my point. Their staff will put hands on you!

This was such an aesthetically pleasing place. Red light photos are so good here. Enough room to lounge or get cozy!

The only thing I disagree with is that , they pat you down and wand you when you go in. It seems like a little much. But they want to keep people safe. There was a incident there where someone got killed outside.

We stopped in to the red room lounge after a failed attempt at going to front and cooper - we went and there was no bartender to be found…? ANYWAYS, that’s besides the point because the red room was SO GREAT. We went around 4 on a Monday holiday and there were a few people lounging around and having cocktails. We didn’t have anything specific in mind and when we asked the bartender Ren if there was a cocktail menu she was quick to ask if we had things we normally gravitate to. We told her what we like and she made two incredible cocktails. As more people came and went we realized she knew everyone’s names and their preferred drink without them even asking. As we talked with her, we learned that the bar was a total locals spot. It was super cool, we got to talking and she made us two more really delicious cocktails. She even provided us with a list of places to visit while in Santa Cruz and we were not disappointed with a single recommendation on her list. Tip for travelers passing through, come here, talk to the bartender and get to know the lay of the land. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Ren, for all the amazing recommendations and for welcoming us as if we were locals like the rest of the people who passed through. We had a blast!Parking: Parking in this area is either paid street or paid parking lot.

No food but yes drinks, the bartender was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is fine for a 'dive bar' but the music was really loud from a large speaker in the back room. Most of the foods listed below are from the old Red. This place doesn't have

It was just ok - when we arrived we could barely walk through the bar to the restroom because people were dancing in front of the walkway and wouldn't move. It was very hard to get a drink because it was so crowded. They also had half of the venue taped off (I think it was reserved), but if it had been open we could've enjoyed the bar without feeling cramped! I do love the interior. The lighting is red and the chairs are leather and buttoned to give off moulin rouge vibes. There was a cute lady selling roses for $5.

Laura is a great bartender. She's so upbeat and entertaining. She made me want to stay and drink more. Laura deserves a raise.

It may look a little divey but be brave, walk on in, order some drinks, and listen to the excellent playlist while enjoying watching a bartender ( on the evening we were there) who knows how to mix drinks. Some top shelf liquor here. Good crowd. Recommended.

This is cute, darkly lit (but yes also very red) bar with an old school feel. The drinks are also good and pretty cheap. Had a Hennessy sangria and a chocolate martini and loved both. The chocolate martini wasn't in the menu but the bartender whipped it up when I asked about it. -Bartender was super friendly and accommodating re special requests. Also the martini tasted like a boozy candy bar.

Cool Santa Cruz vibe. Great drinks & good beer selection. Not so sure about the old lounge style couches. Definitely try the shooter specials they’re $10 but worth it for sure
