Waited 20 minutes, then told it’d be 50 more minutes just to get boba. Asked for a replacement — they agreed — but 15 minutes later, still nothing. Finally got it and the replacement tasted bad. Terrible service. Total waste of time.

literally had to wait 25 minutes to get a drink and then my order was wrong. I would give 0 stars if I could. Also the staff were very unhelpful and the drinks aren't even that good. Area is cramped, hot, and stressful.

Horrible service ever!! They are too slow, they don't give you the right beverage, they had no ingredients and they don't have costumer service. Long lines people waiting for their drink and then saying there is no more of mochi.

On the evening of 05/26/2025 I ordered a Pistachio Dubai Choc Shake with crystal boba in store. It was the worst drink I've ever had in my life. The roasted vermicelli topped on the drink was completely burnt and I assume so was the pistachio used in the drink. The drink was bitter and completely inedible. It was a horrible experience compared to my previous experience where I ordered a rose Pistachio drink and it was really good. It looks like the quality has degraded so will never go back here.
Drinks are good but service is terrible. On several occasions I have waited 20-30 minutes for my drink. Something is wrong with the way the management is running this place

The drinks at Ume Tea in Santa Cruz are decent, but the management is a mess. Staff seem overwhelmed and disorganized, and there’s a clear lack of support from whoever’s running the place. On one visit, my order was wrong and the manager was rude—not just to me, but also to the employees. It made the whole experience uncomfortable. Won’t be coming back until they improve how they treat both customers and staff.

the manager was yelling at the workers and everything seemed so unprofessional and honestly just uncomfortable to witness. honestly disgusted from what i saw. this is not how these young people should be treated…
