Real hit or miss depending on what you get. Sicilian Square - Solid pizza. Better that most chain pizza shops. Decent rise on the dough/crust. Acceptable for price. Thin Crust - Worth avoiding. On par with red baron or other store bought frozen pizzas. No rise or color on the crust/dough. Not sure if it's the oven or the proofing time but they just can't seem to make a crispy thin crust. Not at all worth price. Service - friendly and quick

I would have liked to email Upper Crust but there's no email address available. There is literally nothing vegan on the menu, unless staff is misinformed. They told me all of their pastas and doughs are NOT vegan (whereas most commercial brands of pasta are) I ended up with bruschetta with a slice of avocado on the side. Please consider offering something for plant-based diets and mark it on your menu. Almost all restaurants in Santa Cruz do.

Great deep dish pizza , try the Kathy's special: Meat combo, NO bell peppers, add light pesto, sun dried tomatoes and black olives and mushrooms. Side of anchovies if you like it salty The pizza here is 60% better than the Upper Crust on Soquel Drive near Dominican hospital. The toppings seem fresher but their pizza (red) sauce is hands down better making a better all around pizza experience!

Dinner here this past weekend was great. Parking was easy in a fairly large dedicated lot. The restaurant setting was a bit plain, but there were beautiful artworks on the walls, displaying different landmarks and scenes in nature. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and the place was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. Service was more than sufficient, the staff patiently answering our questions about menu items, and the wait time was reasonable for our food to be ready. The meat lasagna was served in a bowl and covered in marinara sauce with two slices of garlic bread on the side, a carb-heavy filling dish. The original meat combo pizza on the sicilian square crust was actually quite large for a "small" size. It looked to be about 11x11 inches, and thick, so we definitely had leftovers. Melty cheese oozing from these slices and ample fresh and tasty ingredients... surprisingly, the sauce and crust were almost flavorless, so the pizza as a whole ended up being a little underwhelming. It wasn't bad though, and I'd still give 4 stars for the overall experience here.

Our favorite pizza place when we visit Santa Cruz. Still as good as we remember! We ordered the family size thick crust square meat combo pizza and a garden salad. Everything was amazing! The staff and our waitress so was nice and attentive to our table as well. They alsohad a special going with any large pizza you get a free muffaletta which was a bonus!

It's okay. Our BBQ chicken ranch pizza was 80 percent cheese and bread, very little chicken. Also there's ranch instead of red sauce, not added...We got a large pizza, a salad and a pitcher for a grand total of 60 dollars.

The pizza is edible. The slices were undercooked and kept warm in a heated display. They were cold when served. They were bland. The California Salad was a joke. Reheated frozen chicken, anemic lettuce and tons of croutons. The dressing was a vinaigrette that had already separated. The half avocado was the highlight. The service was awkward but not unfriendly. Simple atmosphere but not unpleasant. Not going back.

excellent pizza! Variety is good, salads are good. Ambiance is friendly Far superior to nearby Dominos.

Well this place has gone downhill. I came in to order a small meat combo pizza, and I got a stale single slice instead. I guess they don't listen too well anymore at the counter. The woman started to give me attitude as I was unhappy that I didn't get what I ordered. I decided to just take the slice, eat what was edible, and get out of there. So back to Round Table. The Crusty will not get my business anymore.

This pizza place used to be way better. These days the slices are rarely fresh and the crust soggy. Pizza makers don't seem to care. Should be more sauce on this pizza, and they charge too much for their slices and pies. Do better please.

The employees are efficient, kind, and nice. Sadly, the pizza was not really good. It's not horrible, I just don't see me needing it again. Naturally, I didn't try every possibility, so maybe there is one that would be a huge success. The 'runny' cheese on my kids' pizza was a turnoff. They didn't enjoy the thicker pizza crust or the fact that it was served in squares because they were still children. But you know, that's just kids. Excellent location for a quick and filling piece of pizza, but if flavor is your first priority, you might want to explore a bit more.

Upper crust pizza reminds me of 5th grade lunch pizza. Definitely the worst pizza in Santa Cruz. Even worst then dominos and that's saying a lot! I had my partner order two slices, one sausage and one pepperoni. They were both horrible. Maybe for like a dollar a slice it would be worth it but for 13.95 for both it was ridiculous. I might actually pay you to not go here just so you won't be disappointed as I am. Please don't waste your time. Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE. I hope they read this and figure out what is going on. And if they don't see or taste what is going on they are just delusional and doubt they will stay business. Do better. Because people deserve better.
