My husbands burger was raw inside and the waitress took 20 minutes to bring out drinks. The drinks were a beer and a pre mixed cocktail so there was no mixing/bartender needed.

Venus NEVER disappoints. Great food and drinks. Excellent service. First time we sat outside with our dogs. It was wonderful. Thank you Venus for the consistency and comfort.

We really enjoyed the mole bbq sauce on the ribs and the fried chicken was good but maybe a bit over fried and too hot but still crispy and tasty. Hush puppy was grand! The chocolate torte was actually so good it could have bumped it up to 5 stars. I would go back and have recommended it to friends.

So grateful that Venus was able to accommodate our party after another restaurant reservation snafu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. And no one batted an eye when my nonverbal, autistic son walked in, singing at the top of his lungs. Thank you Venus patrons and staff ❤️

The food has improved since last year. It was good then but now it's terrific! The bahn mi is exceptional as is the foccacio. Lovely cocktails and a casual, fun spot.

Food is great. Drinks are also delish. It was a bit loud, but that's probably normal. Ceasar salad with chicken was really filling. Brussel sprout and venus fries yummy! Love the gin.

Finally tried the shrimp and grits--very good. Forgot the name of the drink I ordered (good sign) but it was one of the new ones on the menu. Went well with the s&g. Would definitely do that again. My dining partner was pleased to see the chicken parm (Thursday special) was still available.

Venus is a great place for a group, with a diverse menu full of delicious plates. This is the second time I've visited here from out of town and our group of hungry Banana Slugs and parents were very happy, ordering a selection of well made cocktails, appetizers like housemade chips and dip, fried chicken, salads and more. The burger was just right -- not too big and messy but full of flavor. Good, friendly and efficient service as well. Thanks, Venus!

Good but not great. Portions are a bit small for the price point. The price point is a bit high for the quality. It met expectations, but did not wow. The table I requested was not ideal, so they missed the note or weren't able to accommodate. They were out of the two main dishes I went to sample. I'd probably go back again, but I am always on the lookout for exceptional value for time and money spent. I am not suggesting to stay away, but for me the search is still on to find a dish I crave at a restaurant in this category.

In the past, we have often found the food over-seasoned and -sauced, so haven't been back in a while, but on this visit, we enjoyed the dishes. Service was good and just attentive enough.

The fried chicken was very dry. The skin is delicious, but just dry. White wine selection very poor. Probably won't return, at least not on a weekend, and won't order fried chicken.
