I have been a coffee snob for about 15 years now. It all started with the original verve in capitola. I very much appreciate good coffee and enjoy it.
Today after taking my daughter to get her driver's permit, we sat down at The roaster location and enjoyed a fresh Honduras pour over.

I appreciate the upgrades that have been done in the past couple years to make it more inviting to sit down.
I've known many operators and baristas through the years they have gone on to do great things in coffee, and it all started with verve.
Thanks again guys. I wish you continued success in the coffee industry

My favorite Verve location. Relaxed atmosphere, superior coffee, outstanding baristas, great food. Best place in the Bay Area for a hot chocolate too.

Coffee shop with poor coffee. Pedestrian selection, snotty staff. 7-11, AM/PM & Quik Stop serve better. Could be a groovy place.

Very disappointed at the consistent lack of service here.

I implore Colby, Ryan, or Lyndia to send a friend to see/feel how this place operates on any given morning. If the HQ cafe operates in this fashion, it is a poor reflection of company as a whole.

Although the coffee and food are amazing, I rarely tip at this location due to the amount of unpleasant experiences I have had with the baristas. It’s as if they are pretending they are doing me a favor by making my drink, even when I thank them, which is odd. When I used to work behind the bar, I could get away with being rude to the occassional jerk with ridiculous expectations, but, by and large, the staff at this location needs a elementary course on etiquette, such as how to greet a customer, make eye contact when speaking to them, and say “you’re welcome” when thanked. I think basic skills like these are attainable goals for the staff at this location.

I love this location, but I have had similar experiences as other people. Some employees seem really nice, and like they care to be there. They are present, cordial and make good coffee. However, there are a handful of Baristas that are incredibly rude. I don't know if it's entitled of me to expect them to have a better attitude, but I do.

My wife and I took a walk over to check this place out based on a friend’s recommendation. The service was friendly and quick. The cashier gave us a recommendation based on personal preference and it was perfect.

Capp tasted bad to me, but I think most people must like it

Cashier was rude. They forgot our order. Once my fiancée reminded them and they made my pour over, it was super acidic, and the oatmilk they provided (no other cream out for customer use) was cloudy and ruined the texture. I did not even finish half my cup of coffee. Not going back.

Great coffee but not a lot of places to sit and enjoy. A cool but of industrial vibe to the place. Large orders can take a while though.
