Although the coffee and food are amazing, I rarely tip at this location due to the amount of unpleasant experiences I have had with the baristas. It’s as if they are pretending they are doing me a favor by making my drink, even when I thank them, which is odd. When I used to work behind the bar, I could get away with being rude to the occassional jerk with ridiculous expectations, but, by and large, the staff at this location needs a elementary course on etiquette, such as how...
I love this location, but I have had similar experiences as other people. Some employees seem really nice, and like they care to be there. They are present, cordial and make good coffee. However, there are a handful of Baristas that are incredibly rude. I don't know if it's entitled of me to expect them to have a better attitude, but I do.

I have been a coffee snob for about 15 years now. It all started with the original verve in capitola. I very much appreciate good coffee and enjoy it.
Today after taking my daughter to get her driver's permit, we sat down at The roaster location and enjoyed a fresh Honduras pour over.
