I’m A bit of a Coffee, snob, and like my beans fresh. I ordered some beans from Verve and although I live just a few towns away, I opted to have my beans delivered. They arrived quickly ….just a couple of days after ordering. Excellent service And kept me notified every step of the way . However, I’m quite disappointed as the beans are definitely not fresh. I use the bloom method of brewing and there is no bloom With these beans. Additionally, I ordered a dark roast and these beans are more of a light medium roast… But that part’s OK. What I really count on is freshness, and these beans were old… Been sitting on the shelf for a while? Why would they send a new customer old beans? Well, at the same time, I tried another coffee roaster in the area. I was a bit disgruntled with them at first because their beans took a while a few days a week to arrive. But oh my, their beans are very fresh…..bloom nicely and excellent flavor. So needless to say, in spite of their excellent service, I will not be returning to Verve. I hope they improve the freshness of their beans.

This place at atmosphere is great, and the coffee is superb. However, the avocado toast was inconsistent with other locations. It wasn't a spread but blocks of avocado that lacked more flavor.

Wasn't sure how to order. Greeted with attitude. After receiving my coffee. I told the guy oh shoot this isn't what I wanted I wanted it more like that coffee next to mine, can we add milk, I wasnt sure how to order. His response was "Maybe next time" I'm sorry but there won't be a next time! To me, that was a horrible and irresponsible response.

Amazing vibes and loved the decor of this cafe . Lots of plants and flowers. It was like sitting in a garden. Lovely bites and coffee . Lot of vegan options too . Good place

Lovely coffee shop in SantaCruz! I highly suggest trying their whiskey latte coffee. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is clean, modern, and hipster.
It is a bit overpriced. I wish they don’t serve the avocado toast on a metal plate over a napkin. It is impractical. The napkin gets soggy and rips. When you use the fork and knife to cut the toast, they slide on the slippery metal tray.

Being quite a coffee snob it’s harder to find great coffee as you get in Australia/Europe around this part of the world. This place was pretty decent, coffee was not overly strong but well balanced. Nice location to hang out for a bit.

I usually go to the verve on 41st because its closer to my work but recently havent have the greatest customer experience there. Gave this verve a shot and was so so happy in the chamge of atmosphere and service. Shae made our experience so pleasant. Love this spot its a lot more cozy too. Coffee is of course great! Lots of little places to walk to nearby. Thanks again Shae appreciate you!
