On such a hot day, nothing beats the heat than a nice ice cream cone from whitings. Never disappointed.

Great employer with very friendly co-workers.

The soft serve cone was $4.70 and tiny. There's an icecream stand further down that were much more generous. I'll remember that for next time.

I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is appetizing and the stuff is generous and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Great location for tasty cheap food. Entered near nine, it wasn't busy. The service here is friendly. The prices are good for what you get. Ambience reminds me of Colorado Springs area.

A must have snack for us when we go to the boardwalk! Tater Twists are a deep fried, delicious and crispy delight. They remind me of fresh, thick cut potato chips. I love the flavor station where you can add various powdered seasonings and of course, hot sauce...bomb!!! They're a little pricey for a fried potato...$5.50 but that's what you have to expect at an amusement park. And they are really good so no complaints from me!

Great for a quick snack at the Boardwalk. I was there on a Sunday and there was a long line but it moved quite fast. The tater twist was quite good. Lightly crisp and moist. There is also a sauce station.

Fried potato on a stick is one of my topmost favorite fair/street style snacks. Unfortunately, Tater Twists failed to deliver. $7.50 for one over-fried and burnt tasting potato on a stick was a real bummer. My potato felt as hard as a potato chip, and that's not how fried potato on a stick is supposed to be. They should have the texture of french fries, albeit in a different shape (long potato ribbon). There is a small counter to the side of the food stand that houses a selection of different flavored powders to season your potato. I tried a few - sour cream, cayenne pepper, cheddar cheese, and parmesan garlic. They're all salty, though I'll point out that the cayenne pepper is really hot and the cheddar cheese is a neon orange color that doesn't taste similar to any finger-licking potato chip cheese powder. Alas, the burnt taste was unmistakably apparent and no amount of flavored powders could hide that.

It's fair food.

Whitings is one of the couple concessionaires at the boardwalk. They've got about 26 concessions out there and each one of them is unique in their own way. This year they've added so many new treats to try and they are all super good! Definitely recommend

This is one of the many decadent state fair style food booths scattered around the beach facing side of the boardwalk. Usually I include parking descriptions as parking in the bay area isn't something you can take for granted but well, this is the boardwalk, so you came here some way that didn't involve driving (Hooray!) or ditched your car in that massive overpriced lot that is specifaclly for the boardwalk (Aww. Well don't sweat it. Can't be helped). This is a walk up kiosk thingy so no inside seating, and the outside seating is catch as catch can, which just means whatever seating you can find. There are tons of picnic benches and whatnot scattered around and there really isn't any reason you just couldn't take your food to the beach. Watch out for the seagulls. So the deal here is that this is a spiral sliced potato fried whole and thin. On a good day they pull it out just before it becomes one long potato chip when it's chewy and tender. Don't count on that happening. At least fifty percent of the time you get one giant chip. While one preparation is clearly better then the other both are pretty awesome (and quick) ways of getting a potato onto a plate. Don't forget to season whatever you get from the small counter on the side of the building that has all kinds of savory, salty and tangy powders and sauces to boost the flavor. So yeah while like everything else on the boardwalk you'll be paying too much (like around seven dollars as of right now.) it's a very tasty choice for boardwalk snacking.

The food was good I admit, but paying almost $50 for 2 burger meals is just a little bit ridiculous. We has 2 bacon burgers, 2 garlic fries and 2 cokes. No desert or extras. I think next time we will eat before we go.

It has been awhile since i have been to the boardwalk so it was definitely a good visit. While walking along the boardwalk, i came across Whiting's Food Concession. They sold churros so i ordered a churro stuffed with Carmel and added chocolate drizzle on top. It was delicious!! They are pretty long And thicker then a normal size churro. You also get them fresh. Only down fall is that it can get messy if churro is angled a certain direction that the inside stuffing will come out.
