Placed take out order for 3 dishes after lunch rush.Told order would be ready in 15min. My husband arrived 20min later. He had to wait another 20min for biscuits to be baked. Gravy was like flour and grease drippings. Bacon on BLT was mostly raw and unedible, bread was like wonder bread, lettuce was wilted. Clam chowder was tasteless. Ground beef enchiladas were more like chuck roast chunks. Food was awlful and a waste of $50. We are local and wanted to support our local restaurant, unfortunately it was a big disappointment.Hopefully someone will teach anyone of the 4 cook’s that were in the kitchen how to cook items from the menu properly. Sadly we will not be ordering again.

We stopped on the holiday weekend after passing up Paso Robles for being horrifically crowded. What good luck! Little hole in the wall J''s Country Kitchen was just what we were looking for. Food was unexpectedly delicious! Our server was really top notch! Everyone in my party was pleased with their choices. Thekid's pancake plate was huge-Mickey Mouse Pancakes with large slice of bacon and a lot of scrambled eggs. The double bacon western burger was thick and fries were crispy, and the chili verde on over easy eggs with tortillas, beans , toast and home fries were amazing. Definitely stop here!

Love their weekday breakfast special. I'm partial to the breakfast burrito with chorizo, but the bacon and egg breakfasts are always well portioned and perfectly cooked. Service is always great and attentive. It's rarely too busy, and it's got a great feel. I've become a regular!

We come here every Sunday and usually get great service. The waitress is amazing but only one waitress for a very busy day. She is running trying to take care of everyone. We have been waiting almost two hours for our food. The owners need to assess having two waitresses on Sunday. We are local and will be going some place else.
Very friendly service. I just had hot tea, so I really can't rate the food. But the service was so nice that I will be back soon.

A very hearty breakfast of enchiladas, eggs and potatoes. Vegetable omelet my wife had was enjoyed. Really tasty salsa as well. Our server was so nice.

I wanted breakfast at J's Country Kitchen. The Mexican waitress refused to allow me to sit in the outdoor area even though there were other customers being served there. She said she didn't want me to wait on her service. So I agreed with her and and left. Some of the other establishments in this small town are not very welcoming, too.

I'm a local who normally enjoys their great breakfasts. Yesterday I was in a hurry and decided to stop for lunch on my way to town. I ordered the Jose burger. The burger was ground in house and I found it to be one of the absolute best burgers around. I highly recommend!!!!

Omgosh this was a little out of the way place!! But it was definitely worth it!! A 5 star establishment in everything!! We were a large group (14 of us) and they went above and beyond!! Our server was a total rock star!! We absolutely loved it!! ? ❤️
