The Southern Station

We couldn't find parking in downtown San Louis Obispo so we kept driving north on the 101. The next exit was for a town called Santa Margarita. We were hungry and had to pee so we randomly stopped at Southern Station. I am glad we did because I had the best burger of my life! What a charming and delicious spot! Met my family here for a late lunch today as was very impressed. Such a warm welcome from everyone. The owner Wes was kind, engaging, and entertaining. If you are driving up or down the 101 stop in, you won't be disappointed. The food was fresh and fabulous, and you would be hard pressed to find better service anywhere.

I've always liked Southern Station. Anytime hubby asks where I want to go for a breakfast date, I pick this place! Really good food, great ambiance (a lot of their decor is from Decor Steals which I love!) and pretty affordable. The new owner has done a really good job maintaining a similar atmosphere along with the great tasting food. Definitely going back again (and again). :)
