California Sushi and Teriyaki

The quality of the food is not the same. The service is also going downhill. Sushi restaurants used to have that Japanese experience that I looked forward to in which it showed by the presentation of the food and pride they put into their trade. The food at this restaurant looks as if they are just trying to get them out of the restaurant as fast as they can. Absolutely no pride or professionalism. I will not be visiting again. I will not recommend this place to anybody.

First I would like to say that they have very friendly service and during certain hours have specials that balance out the prices at other times. I ordered from the to go menu and when I go to my destination to eat my food I discovered that I didn’t not receive what I ordered (too late to drive back). Honestly speaking the food was not only overpriced but it was not that good. I kept getting a sour flavor when eating my food. The sushi place at the mall is not only better but then have decent pricing for food. Glad I tried this place out, I’m always passing it by and wondering how the food is and now I know. I probably would not return

Ordered lunch for 2 at work via doordash. Ordered the california bowl and the chicken teriyaki plate. All the food tasted good. The tempura, of course, is not as crispy, but that's due to the delivery. The order was correct with no avocado anywhere in the order, which was perfect!

Good lunch spot. Had a chicken bowl which was good except it had frozen veggies which seems ridiculous given we live in Santa Maria. Service was okay, the atmosphere was busy.

Food was ok. Depending on the food. Got the takoyaki and the batter was raw. Hurt my stomach. It was pricey too for an appetizer and a shame didn’t get to finish it. Sushi was ok. Service sucked. Server didn’t even ask me if I needed anything or give me utensils to eat my food. I spent some time awkwardly sitting there. I was waiting for someone and the way they react it seemed like it bugged them . And this was between 2 servers. Go to Mikado. SOOO MUCH BETTER.
