I have been members at Cambria Winery for several years, and it’s truly disappointing how this transition has been handled. The tasting room was moved from Santa Maria to Los Olivos, and tastings at the Santa Maria estate were discontinued—yet members were not informed until after the move had already taken place.

What’s even more frustrating is that Cambria is still advertising itself as being in the Santa Maria Valley, despite no longer offering tastings there. We were told the Santa Maria location would be used for events, but there have been no events held and none announced.

The saddest part of all is what this has done to the amazing staff. The people who made Cambria special—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate—were left dealing with the fallout of decisions they had no control over. Long-time members and guests are confused, disappointed, and the staff bears the emotional weight of that.

This could have been handled with honesty and transparency. Instead, it feels misleading and dismissive of both loyal members and the incredible team that built Cambria’s reputation in Santa Maria

I’ve been a wine club member for several years and was extremely disappointed to find out Cambria moved locations without properly informing members. Showing up and realizing the Santa Maria tasting room was gone was frustrating and honestly unacceptable. That location was a big reason I stayed a member, and a move this big should have been clearly communicated.

That said, Danica is absolutely amazing. She has always gone above and beyond, is knowledgeable, welcoming, and truly the bright spot of every visit. This review would be even lower if it weren’t for her

Tasting room is closed until further notice. Update your hours on Google you weirdos.

Fantastic experience, Danica was an excellent host. They will tailor to/help with finding wines you like. If you’re in the Santa Maria, this stop is well worth your time. We had a blast. Tasting fee of $25 or $35. A great value in my opinion

They took us through a range of different chardonnays and Pinot noirs. We liked every single one of them. Beautiful facility too, with a good view.

Stumbled across this lovely winery after visiting another winery down the road and so happy we came here. Great wines great attentiveness and service from Danica and all!! Highly recommend if you enjoy an easy drinking Pinot Noir and light crisp Chardonnay. Can’t wait to come back.

Never been to the winery. Picked up Julia Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021 from Costco. Amazing cool climate Burgundian Pinot Noir with good balance of ripeness, fruit and earth. I did not expect this from Californian Pinot Noir, which has been mostly fruity forward. Instead, it was shockingly similar to Pinot Noir from Okanagan Falls (BC, Canada)

I was looking for a winery to go in Santa Maria as I was already going to Bien Nacido and had some extra time. I settled on Cambria, mostly because of the new tasting room. I wasn’t too familiar with most of the wineries on the Foxen Wine Trail, but Cambria seems celebrated for its Chardonnay so I decided to try it out.The location and tasting room are gorgeous. There’s a little picnic area on a hill as you drive in that overlooks the Santa Maria Valley. The tasting room is well decorated, new and clean. It’s definitely a nice location. The service was good, they try to figure out which of their wines is your style and don’t necessarily go off a scripted menu. That was a welcome change from other wineries.Alas, I was not a big fan of the wines. They are on the riper / fruitier side. Very fruity Chardonnay, extremely rich Pinot Noir. They have some wines that are a little less ripe and slightly more acidic but overall this isn’t my style of wine.Overall a good experience, just not my cup of tea.

Excellent Burgundian style wines, just what we needed to finish our wine journey through the central coast! Enormously recommend.
