Absolutely rude front desk person . She is very unprofessional with attitude. They should employ someone else who enjoys working with customers instead of someone that doesn’t. I won’t be going back.
Rude in the front and not ready when was supposed to be.
Great food. Always busy at lunch. The lunch specials are a great value. Good parking and accessibility.
Try the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. It's the best in the city.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and the service. The food is pretty good as well, with reasonable portions.
My family has been going to North China for years. My MIL always raves about North China and always has North China as the bench food to compare other Chinese Food.
I probably only come here once or twice a year.
We came here on Friday night. I was a little surprised that it didn’t seem as busy as it normally was.
My FIL mentioned North China recently sold, and after looking around none of the wait staff looked familiar.
Service: 3/5. Service was ok, but we had to remind server several times about drink orders or to go boxes. My FIL wanted to split 3/6 wontons with 3 pork and 3 cream cheese and he wasn’t happy about it. Over all service fast not great.
Food: 3/5. We ordered 1 order of beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and mushy pork for our main. Egg rolls, cream cheese wontons , and wonton soup. They were out of Broccoli so we had to get beef with snow peas. (How does this happen on a Friday night?). Chicken was slightly over cooked in the sweet and sour chicken, just a little dry. It was kinda masked by the sauce. The mushi pork and egg rolls were great. The noodles in the wonton soup were good , but the broth was kinda bland.
Overall 3/5. Willing for to give North China another visit the next time I am in town. Obviously when business change hands it may take a few months to figure things out. So trying to be constructive with any criticism and I will revisit my review the next time I am in town.
We don't get Chinese food very often but when we do this is the only restaurant we will go to. They have great food, especially the orange chicken and chow mein.
We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed . Tonight… the orange chicken was rubbery, bland and cold .

This place is amazing! I don’t know how they do it, but I have a wheat and a soy allergy and they are able to accommodate those allergies for me. I’ve eaten here four times now over the past few years and I haven’t gotten sick one time.
Food is delicious, fresh, and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend ?

Apparently Dave & Michael sold the restaurant a few months ago. The food is not the same at all. It's a shame that the people that bought it didn't keep the quality of the food the same as before.

If you want a great dining experience, be sure to stop here. The food was astonishingly good (you have to get the honey walnut shrimp... no seriously, just get it... like right now, drive down there and order it), and not only was the service great, the people were amazingly nice. We have ordered take out here before, but dining in was on a whole other level. If you're reading this review, stop reading and start driving... to North China Restaurant!
Kid-friendliness: The hostess, who I think was the owner, was so nice to our children. She loved that our girls were tea fans, so she sent us home with lots of complimentary tea bags. Our kids loved looking at the authentic Chinese art on the walls and tables. They studied Chinese history for a little bit last year, so the table art was familiar to them.
