The staff was very nice, the old-fashioned was decent, and the western burger was up surprisingly good quality. I'm not typically expecting a great burger from a hotel restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised. The fries are also nice and crispy. It was decently priced for California as well.

Nice hotel bar and grill. Good drinks and friendly staff. The tri-tip sandwich was excellent. My wife and I split it with French fries and it was enough for both of us.

Price gouging @ Portabella restaurant inside the Holiday Inn, Santa Maria, CA. There are NO indications ANYWHERE that a draft beef would be $10. Buyer Beware! Sadly, the blackened chicken with sautéed garlic and mushrooms was dry, dry, dry. Overall experience... Meh!

I would have think that a restaurant established in a hotel would at least have decent food. It was not the case. Every single dish we had was not good. It tasted like frozen food then microwaved. From The pasta to the bagged salad. Absolutely not a good place to eat. I hope they better their quality.
