Three of us had dinner here on 7/5/24. First the negative: The strawberry salad had spicy pepper flakes that were not mentioned in the menu. We ordered bread and decaf coffee, but they didn't have any. The positive: The grilled salmon and fish taco were excellent. The Crème brûlée dessert was also very good. The atmosphere was very good but a bit dark. And the service was outstanding. They eventually brought out the bread, but we are not sure why we didn't get any originally. While the dinner was less than perfect, the mistakes can and should be fixed easily. I would be willing to give them one more chance.

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of handicap parking right next to a wheelchair ramp.

This was my 1st time at the Century Room. My team and I took a potential candidate there during the interview process. We waited over an hour for our food. One of us in our party canceled their order so that they could get back to work for a 1:00 PM appointment. The rest asked for their orders to go. The dining room was completely empty. There was only 1 other occupied table besides ours. Not sure what took so long. The atmosphere was great, but service was not. Not sure what the food tastes like. The menu looked great, though.

Just finished eating brunch (12-2pm)with 4 girlfriends and it was seriously terrible. The service was poor, coffee cold, food lacked flavor including the Santa Maria tri-tip,, they ran out of prime rib, food in warming containers was soggy, the chocolate fountain was a thick, curdled burnt mess, deserts were arranged in shambles on a table and tasted old, plates stacked up on our table, 3 servers standing around doing nothing by the omelette bar,. I hardly ate a thing as nothing was flavorful, desirable or fresh tasting and I LOVE to eat!!! Super disappointing, especially for the price of $42/person and doesn’t even include a single mimosa! Our girlfriend wanted to celebrate her birthday here which I told the hostess when making the reservation but they either forgot or don’t do anything special for birthdays anymore. We all enjoyed spending time together but in our subtle ways agreed that the dining experience was disappointing.I called the restaurant at about 230pm to express my concerns to the restaurant manager but he had already left for the day.Unfortunately, the SM Inn brunch needs serious rehab….Ill never go back

Dined here with family members and everyone had a lovely time. Juan, the waiter, was wonderful. He took great care of us. The food was excellent and the holiday decorations were elegant. Highly recommend The Century Room for special events.

Would have been great except for the kid, apparently one of the wait staff, plonking away tunelessly at the piano during the latter half of the meal. We probably will not return.

I dined here while staying at the Historic Santa Maria Inn and it was a comfortable upscale experience. My roommate and I went down for dinner between 7:30pm and 8pm and the host welcomed us with a smile and showed us to a table near the fireplace..It was a Tuesday night so the restaurant was fairly empty. There were only one or two other parties in the establishment. Knowing this place is pricey we kept it light and simple with water and lemon to start and skipped the alcohol. I order the stuffed quinoa ratatouille as my entree and a side of shrimp as a protein..The servings were pretty big so you definitely get what you pay for. They also brought bread and butter to the table which is a staple I miss in most restaurants. The dish was not overly flavorful, but very filling. The shrimp was well marinated and had a thyme, lemon and butter profile so herbal and savory. Service was prompt and they did not rush us out although we were the last party to leave. Would definitely dine here again and recommend to anyone seeking a ritzy, vintage dinner!

Vegetarian options: There are a few appetizers, salads, entrees and sides from which a vegetarian can select.

Dietary restrictions: Kitchen is accommodating to restrictions.

Parking: The hotel has parking therefore, I'm assuming you can park there to dine at the restaurant also. Calling ahead to ask if parking for dining only is a safe bet.

Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance to the hotel extends from the parking lot and is free of raised edges and sidewalks. There's also a side entrance in the parking lot to the right of the hotel entrance.

The absolute classiest restaurant in Santa Maria. If you’re feeling a fancy night out, an amazing date night or just a quiet classy night this is your place. The vibe of this place is pure class.

This is my second visit to Santa Maria for work, and the second time staying at the Santa Maria Inn. I’ll start with the rooms, I’ve only stayed in the newer rooms (tower) and I love! The original rooms are older because it’s a historical hotel, so know that when coming. This hotel has it all, no need to leave, pool, 2+ bars, and a restaurant with great food. I came to the bar everyday after work (don’t judge). The vibe is on point, brunch on Sundays with bottomless mimosas, say less!! Tiffany is in the bar on (Sunday) and let me tell you from a back in the day server, she is giving the hospitality vibes and surely bringing people back no doubt! Super sweet, attentive and even remembered me from months past, (speaks to my server soul)! If not for the sweet front dest staff and good food, come for the tasty libations and Tiffany!!
