Great spot food is always delicious the only thing I would change is a covered dining area the building is super small and when it rains there are only 3 small umbrella covered

This is a classic American hot dog stand. You can't go wrong with it. There isn't much room to eat inside, and you will freeze sitting at the outdoor seating. Take out and eat in your car.Parking: Small parking lot.

This is a very old school location. No drive-thru here. We originally thought it was closer to 101, but it turns out that it is in an older part of town and not adjacent to the freeway at all. Still, I was craving a hot dog for some odd reason, and so we drove a few extra minutes to get to Wienerschnitzel. We parked out back and headed for the front / only entrance to order. I felt like I was in a time warp from the 1960's with the architecture and styling of the place. The cashier who helped us was very friendly and added a positive note when I was feeling second thoughts about my restaurant choice. Dear Hubby stayed inside to pay and wait for our order. I went outside to the patio tables to hold a spot. It took a while for the food to be prepared. Once it was time to dig in, I was grateful that they offer the option of an all-beef dog. Their Chicago-style toppings work for me - pickle relish, onions, fresh tomatoes, and mustard. I'd prefer brown mustard to yellow, but that's the only thing I'd change. Well, a bigger hot dog would be nice. Take a Costco-sized dog, and add those condiments and I'd really be a happy camper. I was still hungry after finishing the one dog I'd ordered. I mistakenly tried the watermelon lemonade. That wasn't great; the watermelon flavor tasted like lab-created chemicals, which it probably was. I'd not order that again. If you want a retro experience, give this Wienerschnitzel a visit.

It's been a while since I've at the place. I'm so surprised how far down it's gone since my last visit.My favorite is old school, Chili Cheese Dog with onions.The Buns used to be warm and moist. Today cold and stale! They used to give you chili with some meat. Today, and seriously, barely a tea spoon of brown liquid no meat!Onions, 3 or 4 pieces!It sucked!

I like the fact that they give out coupons when you get your order, and you can use more than one coupon at a time also you can get two of whatever the coupon is for most places you can only get one one item one time not at the "Der"!Vegetarian options: I was not aware that they had vegetarian selections I've never seen a vegetarian hot dog doesn't sound good!
