Their bread is delicious and has a unique authentic taste from Oaxaca. Also their powder instant coffee hits all the right flavors and aroma a good coffee should have. Keep up the good work don’t change.

Local LA Oaxacan here who has eaten bread both domestically and in Oaxaca - this mom and pop shop is the real deal.Damn good bread that is meant to be eaten with "chocolatito" (Oaxacan hot chocolate) or some other hot drink (hence why Oaxacan bread is drier than usual bread). Perfect amount of sugar, butter, and texture to the bread, consistently so for the decades this warm couple has run the establishment. I’ve been eating this bread since I was a kid, I’ve had a lot of Oaxaca bread but this place seems to make the most delicious bread out of all of them. I go here every October to place my order of bread for Dia De Los Muertos. They are a bit pricy but they have to keep making ends meet with the high Santa Monica rents, I personally don’t mind paying a bit more and I drive about 40 min to get here every year.
