Stopped by this café in Santa Monica today while hanging out in the area. It was a little busy around 9, but the baristas were super friendly and made good conversation. Very rare these days to receive a warm welcome. Coffee was good, one of the better cappuccinos I've had in a while.
I’m disappointed that the vibe of this place has taken a hit. This was my local coffee shop that I would frequent almost daily. I moved to mid Wilshire area and now I always plan to stop by when visiting Clover park with my pup. At some point the store closed temporarily and once it reopened the vibe was not the same at all. Now it feels much more pretentious and inauthentic. The music made the atmosphere and now often there is nothing. The staff is unfriendly and feels unwelcoming....

The staff is super awesome, they remember your name and are super friendly.
For lunch the steak bah mi is my go to and it doesn't disappoint. It comes with a small broth to dip in and its delicious.
Highly recommend this spot.
