Good BBQ is hard to come by but this place was a pleasant surprise. It’s a 10 minute drive from Santa Monica Beach and the food is great. I ordered the combo plate with brisket, chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, and hush puppies. And the fact that they serve Cheerwine to drink is a plus! I will definitely save this place for when I’m in town.

Been here for food and it’s delicious, but wanted to write a review because I just had the most gracious experience there. I was charging my car across the street and got locked out of it (which I can only unlock with my phone, which had run out of battery!). The people at Bludsoe’s were so sweet, they charged my phone and treated me to an iced tea while I was waiting. Having had one of the worst weeks, it’s this type of kindness that makes the world a better place.

I stopped by for lunch and got the 6 wings for $21. I was thinking hot wings but they were whole chicken wings. I got the dry rub and it tasted like some kind of peach rub. Every meaty and flavorful. I got rub all over my fingers so be ready for a bit of a mess. But definitely worth it. The BBQ sauce was vinegar based and was really good. I got the spicy and it had plenty of heat but didn't linger too long on the palate. Celery came with it and I have to shout out the celery. Probably the freshest celery I've ever had. The dressing tasted house made with plenty of dill. Excited to come back and try more!

Hands down the best bbq spot in Santa Monica. The food is great and served quick to your table, so if you need a quick snack after work it’s the place to go. Plus the service is amazing starting from the moment you walk in and walk out. Recommend the LA Rib Tips for the spicy lovers. 🔥
