What an enjoyable dinner at Capo. To be sure it is a costly night out, but the quality of the food and service more than makes up for it! We particularly appreciated the outstanding service from Max, the Sommelier, who demonstrated all the best traits of excellence one expects from an old school fine dining experience. Capo is a standout in Los Angeles, if you want a taste of the best of Europe, locally and you grew up with certain expectations of how restaurants of true quality operate.

This was our first time at Capo. The food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. What put a bad taste in our mouth was putting on the menu “20% service charge automatically added so we can give our staff a living wage”. Do you mean to tell me that when people are paying $300 a head for a meal, you cant afford to give your staff a living wage? Just pay them properly. On top of it, at the end, the server said we were welcome to leave an additional tip so that it could just go to the wait staff and not have to be split with the kitchen. When you are charging $41 for a piece of burrata and a couple of vegetables on a plate, the margins are there, and I shouldn’t have to pay extra on top of that so you can pay your staff properly. If you are going to have what amounts to a built-in surcharge, fine, but suggesting additional “gratuity”, and the way it was presented, was obnoxious.

Pricey, but what isn't these days. Our guest said his lamb chops were the best he ever had. Great service , and the food was exceptional. Our favorite restaurant.

Booked a table and received a call 5 minutes before... We were literally in front of the door and they cancelled. Not sure how it is for loyal customers but they won't get new ones...

Our daughter, who dined in twice back in 2019, is who recommended CAPO’S after ending our Route 66 road tour in our 1972 442 convertible from Oklahoma to Santa Monica. The trip was an experience and adding CAPO last night finished our extravaganza! Yes pricey, but what absolute perfection on all counts. Enjoyed every second and every delicious bite. A five star in our journal!!!
Popped in for Italian food, was recommended. Small cute space but terribly loud. Food, typical of Italian pasta dishes, was simple but terribly expensive. Cocktails and wine by glass overpriced. Pasta dishes had by three of us were saltiest ever had. No waiter offered Parmesan on our pasta. So, we'd say considering the prices on menu disappointed as we expected to be wowed.

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Capo with my girlfriend and best friend. We enjoyed what was truly one of the best dinners Ive had this year. the food was absolutely divine and the service from Dmitri couldn't have been better. Every bite was sheer ecstasy with a wine list that would stun even the likes of James Suckling himself! The Chicken Parm was a spiritual experience form start to finish. Each bite being a step closer to utopia. This night rocked our world and sent us to the doldrums of food comas. We left in total joy. This is a must stop for anyone who loves food and seeks a sense of feeling like they are welcomed like at home. I will be dreaming of the meal for years to come. Our gratitude to the staff for sending us on a stairway to heaven!

This is a wonderful restaurant with good food and great ambience. The waiter continually rushed us throughout our meal. There was no reason as the restaurant was not full.

I’ve been going capo for decades and it is always delicious. I hadn’t been in 5 years and went back last night to be absolutely floored by the prices and obvious attempts to overcharge, for instance filling each water glass to the absolute brim and automatically opening another $13 bottle after anyone took a sip, suggesting adding truffles to pasta or ice cream to desserts. With $132 steaks, $98 fish and $49 for a very simple bowl of pasta, it just wasn’t worth even a tenth the cost. Honestly the cost would buy 2 tickets to Italy. On top of that I was seated right against the wait station where every 30 seconds a server would bump into my chair or my back. I was with fantastic company and had a lovely time but in good conscience could never go back.
