We decided to book a room last minute on hotels tonight so for the price I paid it was a good deal. I think hotels tonight and it was around $200. We stayed there while one part of the hotel is under construction but it didn't bother us, although it might've been nice to know ahead of time since the pool was closed. 5 star experience: 1.) The staff: every single person from the valet to check in to restaurant and random employees. For the past 3-4 years it's getting harder and harder to get good service anywhere you go, I haven't had service like this by employees since I stayed at the Ritz Carlton. I hope this message makes it to management/owners because every single employee you had working during my stay blew me away with how great they treated us. We're shocked, in a good way. 2.) The view: beach view. 3.) Location: close to the pier, the beach and many restaurants. Great location! 4.) The Amenities: I took advantage of the gym, the sauna & steam room and it was great and well needed. Things that could improve: 1.) valet was over $50... kind of steep for your guests but it seems like they could make it slightly less. But the Valet guys were ALL amazing. 2.) $12.99 for wifi.... Come on... the wifi doesn't cost anything and we're already paying a resort fee.... Just get rid of that please. Only reason we needed it because reception was poor in your hotel. 3.) Room service prices.... $75 for a Caesar salad and cheeseburger.... Come on you guys gotta do better. At least up the portions or lower the price to justify it because next time I won't be dining in. Conclusion: I will stay here again, can't wait to see it completely renovated. I just might skip ordering room service because of the price. Aside from that I everything else was excellent. The staff primarily. Amazing employees, ALL OF THEM TOO. Which is freakin rare for an entire staff to be amazing.

We made a reservation for dinner. Foods were not worthy and service was bad. We even ordered theFirst food 40 minutes after we arrived. Don’t spend your precious time and money for this.

Thievery Corporation This is NOT a luxury, 5 star hotel as advertised. The location is good but that's where the 1 star ends. I had forgotten some very expensive toiletries in my room and went back to retrieve them to no end. They extended no apologies, regret or compensation for the theft of these items by their staff. It is well worth staying at an actual 5 star hotel just for the honesty their staff maintains. Strike all you want, you don't deserve an increase in wage Le Merigot, Santa Monica housekeeping. Very upsetting indeed. I will not be returning. Shutters on the Beach, The Proper, The Fairmont Miramar, Casa del Mar, Pali House, The Georgian; all far better options.

As we walked in, the strong chemical cleaning products welcomed us with a following headache from the intense smell. We were there for a meeting in the lobby for AFM. There were not enough chairs, so some of us were standing up. The hotel is in a nice location.

Very happy with my stay during the Cal Chiro seminar. Andrew was our bar tender for the evening and he went above and beyond with excellent service. I can't wait to attend another Cal Chiro again in the near future.

Renovations taking place. Very disruptive and noisy. Don't stay here until it's complete. The website doesn't warn you; the front desk "mentioned it when we checked in. Ruined an anticipated vacation.

I book rooms through Hotwire a lot and 98% of hotels make Hotwire customers have a great experience. This hotel advertised its Hot Deal with a 4.2/5 rating and an additional "Luxurious" label, but there was no information about their hotel being under renovation and the ridiculously loud construction noise going through the hotel the next day. The staff at check-in lied to be about nearby parking options to encourage me to consider paying their $60 a night valet parking. They were somewhat dismissive and a bit apologetic when I complained but did nothing to make me more comfortable beyond listening to me complain. I would have picked a more expensive hotel if I had known this one was on sale because it is so uncomfortable. This is one of the few hotels on Hotwire I feel really has a shady vibe and got away with scamming me.

We really enjoyed the whole experience of Le Merigot! All staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were excellent, super clean, and peaceful. (We received room service early every day.) Very well designed bathroom. Lots of nice places to sit and chat with family throughout the day--the pool, the outside game area, the mezzanine level overlooking the beach, and in the evening over a glass of wine and fire pit/table. Gym was great!! Open doors to get the fresh air and had good equipment. Coffee every morning in the lobby area was a nice touch! The hotel is across the street/boardwalk/beach and is located within walking distance of many great restaurants. We had one breakfast and one lunch at the hotel and both were very good, plus great service. Everything was easy about Le Merigot.

We enjoyed our stay at the Le Merigot. The location was perfect for the beach, shops and pier. Breakfast was high quality and the waiters were exceptional. On the front desk Clarence was our go to guy for queries and requests for help. He genuinely cared that we enjoyed our trip.

I had an excellent stay at the Le Merigot Marriott hotel. Upon arrival we had our doors opened for us, bags were taken up to the room, Clarence at the front desk was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire stay with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The resort's location was ideal being right next to the beach. They also provided beach toys, chairs and towels which were great for a trip to the beach with the kiddo and wife. The pool was also a nice change of pace. The staff was very friendly.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was nervous as the property is older and undergoing construction. We never heard or saw any signs of construction. The rooms were very clean and the entire property was well cared for. Old and clean is totally acceptable. The customer service is excellent and the entire staff was smiling and welcoming. I hope the low key friendly vibe is not lost after the reno.

We loved everything about Le Merigot hotel- clean environment, amazing spa and gym, proximity to the beach, and much more. But their staff and service was the absolute BEST! Everyone that works there is amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable. A few of the names I got were Maria in the spa area, Patricia and the whole cleaning staff, the valet attendants especially James who adored our dog, Jesus, Manny, and Ricky, all the bartenders and servers, and the front desk workers, Eddie, Stuart, Maria, Michael and Erica. But everyone was great! Can’t thank you all enough! The Loel Family

Extremely disappointing. When you charge rates like a 5 star luxury hotel you expect something totally different. Quite aged venue and features, now under a renovation with plenty of noise during the day. The architecture of the building, the old and tasteless forniture Style and the Service made from employees still wearing the mask make this location look like an hospital more then an hotel.
