Walked in and it was full at 6pm (first good sign for a tourist) then noticed they were mostly locals (second good tick). They found a table for us despite being full to the brim and were amazingly nice.
The food. Just wow. The steak was amazing!! easily in my top 5 ever. Just an all round great experience. If you are a local or tourist Chez Jay is a must!

Unfortunately, my experience was ruined when a heat lamp fell onto my head. The owner came over JUST to let me know that the elderly woman who bumped into the heat lamp and caused the incident used to be a playmate. As if I care… Seriously pathetic service. This happened last night and my head still hurts. Luckily all I have is a big bump and nothing worse. The bartender grabbed me some ice & Advil, so kudos to him! A server also came to check on me, but I thought the owner could have at least comped the bill, apologized, or asked me if I was okay.

A gem of a little spot! Staff was amazing. Server Stew was phenomenal. Very attentive, welcoming, and friendly. Stopped in for drinks & appetizers. Drinks & Crab cakes were so delicious, had to go back for more a while later! Looking forward to revisiting.
