I tried the Dine LA menu. While the food was good, there was too much food for 2 people. If I had known, I would have just ordered one dinner. Also, it was so crowded and noisy, I couldn't really hear my dining partner. Also, I was seated in a crowded area. The food is always delicious, but the ambience detracted from the meal.

I drive from Pasadena and never miss this Dine LA opportunity and last night was no exception to the quality. This is my number 1 restaurant in Dine LA. Last time I ate at 8 restaurants. this time only 3 but never skip Chinois. Will come back even at regular prices.

Food is always delicious and the service excellent. It was less noisy than usual as there were curtains up around the restaurant for New Year's Eve, that cushioned the sound.  we always get the shrimp and calamari salad and the catfish. Both are fried but are not greasy at all and very light tasting.

Chinois is superb. The only Asian fusion cuisine that, in my view, ever really worked. It was a marvel of creativity went it first opened (when we started eating there) and it remains top quality now! The front desk and wait staff are wonderful, warm and friendly in addition to being knowledgeable and attentive (without hovering).

Chinois on Main was wonderful, as always. It was Mom's 98th birthday celebrations and we had a. very nice time. OpenTable has poor service. I've had consistent issues scheduling times I wanted at several restaurants, only to arrive to nearly empty places. There is something wrong with your site and I'd love to avoid using it. Perhaps there are better ways for good restaurants to make reservations.
Our waitress was so helpful in deciding what to order and the number of dishes as some are generous enough to share. The starters were delicious: from the chicken salad, the chicken pot stickers and the ribs. The four of us only needed to share the roasted sea bass and beef dish to complete the meal. Sorbet and pavlova to taste after. Lovely time! Even the busboys were friendly and attentive! We'll be back.

Chinois on Main continues to impress. Five Stars for every aspect of our Saturday Night meal. From start to finish we were treated like family. The food and service were impeccable. We mixed some old favorites like Chinois Chicken Salad with new flavors like Sizzling Scallops and PadThai Noodles. Each dish was executed flawlessly. Chinois makes it all look so easy but we know it is not. Why is Chinois so great? Because everyone from Bella in the front to Victor at the Bar to Mario at our table really cares. Chinois on Main deserves a place in the Los Angeles (Santa Monica Branch) restaurant Hall of Fame!
