Love their kitchen
Everything fresh and delicious
Amazing food and service!
I’ve been twice during my visits to Santa Monica.
Food has great flavor, service is excellent. Nice location on Main Street and near the beach.
My first time was for brunch and second time for dinner.
Favorites were the mango salad, curry puffs, green curry, roasted cauliflower and Branzino.
Tried the chef’s tasting menu and received two beef dishes (shredded beef & short rib) which I thought was odd. With an expansive menu, I wish we could’ve tried something different. 3/5.
We eat here all the time. Always delicious with very friendly staff. Great cocktails as well.
I really wanted to love this place, but the food at the price point was just okay. Most of the food is what you can get at a Southeast Asian restaurant for 2x the price and not as much portion. If you’ve never had the cuisine, it is a good introduction in a nice ambiance. So please try if you’ve never had roti..:)
We made a reservation several days in advance and chose it after seeing it on the Bib Gourmand list. The interior was really nicely decorated and super homey. Our server was really kind, and she seemed very hardworking covering multiple tables.
We had the beef rendang and butter chicken dishes. Again, small and nothing special to note. If you haven’t had beef rendang or roti before though, it is indeed delicious. The standout were the prawns we had to start for sure. The salmon was also covered in too much sauce.
Our drinks were just ok. The coffee old fashioned was almost undrinkable.
We ended up skipping dessert.
Outstanding little local gem worth driving to from anywhere in LA because of its unique South East Asian menu which is hard to find. One of my favorites
Excellent food and fantastic service😊
I loooove the food here. Every thing the server recommended was incredible. The atmosphere is so sweet. I felt like I was in a living room. It can be a bit loud for my taste, but I honestly didn’t care. High recommend

Go here. My last meal here was one of the best experiences I have had in LA. Everything was incredible and the service is outstanding. You sit in a garden too and it’s such a great atmosphere. I highly recommend the kampachi or anything similar it’s always great. The African curry and the chili platter are must gets but you can’t go wrong with anything here. The only thing I think could be improved is the drink list could be a bit extended but it is still quite good, just a few more cocktails would be great!

Restaurantji Recommends
On our last day in Santa Monica, we decided to treat ourselves by dining at a Michelin Bib restaurant. Although it was on the expensive side, we were thrilled with our choice! The ambiance was both beautiful and welcoming, with an abundance of dried flowers hanging from the ceiling and tables adorned with lovely floral bouquets. Our server was incredibly attentive, and when I mentioned that half of my roti was burnt, he promptly brought a freshly made replacement.
We ordered the papaya salad, soy squash, devil's chicken, jasmine rice, and roti to share. My daughter, known for being a picky eater, chose the Ora King Salmon appetizer and pork dumplings. To our delight, she finished both dishes and absolutely loved them. I started taking pictures of our food, but we were so eager to try the dishes that I forgot to take pictures! Even though we didn't order any drinks and just had tap water and hot water with lemon, our bill still exceeded $100 USD. This restaurant is a fantastic choice if you're in the mood to splurge.

Visiting from Michigan and Cobi’s was recommended to us for dinner. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My favorite dish was the butter chicken, so tender and rich with flavor. This restaurant is a must visit if you are in the area!

Easily one of my favourite restaurants ever. It's my go to spot for special occasions and time with my loved ones.
This time we went with the scallops and African curry. Strongly suggest !

Charming, reasonably priced, but underwhelming in flavor - as a lover of South / Southeast Asian cuisine, Cobi’s is a spot I wanted to be good but unfortunately left underwhelmed by (~3.5 stars if Google allowed that)
The one main highlight on the menu were the curry puffs - pastry was nicely flaky and tender, and the spiced filling paired really well with the tamarind ketchup. The butter chicken was good as well, but was quite sweet in a way that took a while to have grow on you. The beef rendang was okay - beef was well-cooked but the flavors were flat and forgettable
Unfortunately ~half the dishes we got were misses: the honey nut squash tasted only of a somewhat acrid sambal, the pork dumplings had little flavor besides the tartness of the nam jim jaew, and the thai tea pudding wasn’t worth finishing (despite my fervent love of boba). The roti was limp and underwhelming
The ambiance is lovely but laid back, with lush greenery/florals, dim lighting, and vintage plates giving the space a cozy vibe. Service was efficient & attentive, and prices were reasonable - I only hoped the food would be stronger
Vegetarian options: small menu but each section had at least 1-2 vegetarian options
