The staff literally forgot my order until I went to ask my latte. He wasn't sure what my order was and was pretty busy with rest of the other orders he got after me. I was pretty excited about their latte but it literally tasted like just steamed milk. The atmosphere seems pretty nice but not outstanding to overlook the lack of service and taste. I've had pretty good coffees around here so there's no reason to be back.

Food was good, but what’s the point of eating inside if they serve in paper box and plastic cutlery? Not good for the environment and also makes the food not

Food was delicious and the service was quick and theoughful. I totally recommend the advocado toast (it has peanuts) and tots. The back tables could use being refinished since the varnish is tacky. Atmosphere is really nice though with a modern chic feel.

Why is this $17!? It’s totally tasteless, there is NO service and a FULL staff? Place is really cute! If the services and prices weren’t so out of whack I would come work/study here! If I had known it would take 20 minutes for a lousy burrito at this price I would have gone to a proper sit down restaurant up the street like 1212 that’s basically the same price with proper service and tasty food. I came here thinking it would be quick

FYI they will list a Strawberry Matcha Oat Latte on the menu at $8 and then charge you $9 plus tax (so over $10 total for a latte) for it. When called out, I was told that oat milk is an additional surcharge and the menus were out of date. The right thing to do is to honor the prices you have listed on your menus and not charge the customer for your mistakes. Super shady.
Large cafe in a busy tourist area, yet never packed. One of my favorite remote working spots, their couches are comfortable and the wifi is reliable. The guy at the register was very friendly.

The girl working at the front of the till displays extremely poor manners. I am perplexed as to why the company chose to employ her.

We ordered a regular americano and a grande London fog. The London fog was pretty good but the americano was awful hence the low rating. The regular size was actually an extra small, the drink was served waaaay too hot and the taste was really poor
Went in for a latte. Pretty slow yet friendly service. Latte tasted like milk with a smidge of coffee (=pretty terrible latte). Inside of the place was kinda dirty/sticky.

We had our post-wedding brunch here a few months ago, and honestly, it was one of the best and most surprising parts of the weekend and for our guests. The space was perfect size, the staff was gracious and kind and the food was really, really good.No one left hungry or thirsty. Big fan of the breakfast burrito. They even had Dim Sum!Best option we could have asked for in regards to an affordable, pleasant, post-wedding gathering in this area.
The environment was perfect and the Macchiato was delicious. A highly recommended spot in L. A. I loved it! ☺️
Cult Cafe on a busy corner in Santa Monica was a much needed respite for a late afternoon coffee. The service was kind and friendly. The space had a dark off vibe...there was next to noone in it even though there was a lot of pedestrian traffic outside. We tried to order directly off the menu but were told they didn't make any of the specialty coffees on it anymore. So we just stuck with basic lattes.

Good grab and go vegan optionsI didn’t order from their sit down menu which had a vegan burger and soyrizo sandwich on there (you would have to customize the order and ask for no cheese, mayo, egg to make it vegan). But from their display/grab and go options they had chia puddings, English tea cake, and pre-made salad all already made vegan!Pros: Vegan grab and go options availableCons: Sit down menu not really vegan
I just got turned away because the barista has been making coffee for the last three hours. I’ve been a barista in the past and I can tell you after three hours I did not stop taking orders. There was an hour til close so a break should have been taken at a different time. I’ve given this place a try the last few times I’ve been in town. Probably won’t visit again.
