Food was good very good authentic west coast Mexican. Definitely a tourist stop and not a small atmosphere gem but closer to commercial restaurant. Nothing fancy and beware they charge $9 to park otherwise it's a roll of dice on the metered street parking.

We love coming her when we are in town. The food is excellent and service is top notch. The chips and salsa is great and really can't go wrong with anything you order. I recently had the steak fajitas and I will definitely order that again.

My uncle and aunt had their Engagement Party which became their wedding here and what an AMAZING place to hold such an event! The service here is impeccable, as is the food! We all had wonderful meals and desserts & a drag queen officiated the wedding! Plus there was an all-female Mariachi band providing entertainment! On my way out I was given a nice big bottle of water for my trip home (stayed in Palm Desert that night)! Very awesome staff & ownership here!

El Cholo is a long standing LA spot for Mexican food. It's a fun place with something on the menu for all. Great for family gatherings and big groups. Be aware that food portions are large!

Love this place! The burritos are all great but the #3 combo (1 pork tamale, 1 cheese enchilada, rice & beans) is probably my favorite. Our waitress was amazing. I took a friend for his birthday and the waitress brought out a birthday flan for him, without me even saying anything.

Delicious meal and great drinks. Had a great brunch here. A lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was also really awesome. Best fajitas I’ve had in LA.

Gladis our server was excellent. Made our dining experience pleasant. Gladis' menu suggestions were helpful. We sat outside and it was relaxing. The Host, Chris was very friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and really good. Enjoyed our meal experience all around.

I had the special shrimp today the shrimp taste like rubber the texture after l bite in to it was raw under cooked just nasty farm raised plastic rubbery, I tried the taquitos beef the outside was over cooked hard burnt & crispy the inside was cold in the inside watery from being frozen & probably not thawed out properly it was a mess and it taste like mush. The food had no flavor definitely no seasoning the old recipes no more it doesn't taste fresh not appetizing whatsoever even the chips are disappointing, broken hard and the guacamole for $12 a half a order was a joke l had a margarita zapper widow drink that cost $25 l definitely didn't taste or have any alcohol in it had to be water down perfectly I didn't get a buzz of anything what a waste of money It wasn't good. No one enjoyed the margaritas definitely not know for signature drinks anymore they are not great anymore guess they don't make those anymore. The steak was also horrible couldn't chew It had too much fat the cheapest cut not worth trying, The tortillas hard around the edges everything was like a mush. The beans were like a mush bean soup just horrible. The rice was like box rice no flavor nothing tastes fresh very disappointed I will not be going back to my old stomping grounds, that was my favorite, the waitress was very tired and she tried her best very condescending I'm sure all the waitresses are over worked disappointed for service. After I told her I did not like the food I was disappointed. However, I did eat some of the beans after waiting 30 minutes for my second order she put an additional charge of six dollars on my bill for eating some of the beans but they're not beans they're mush so I feel like after being there for one hour having a scoop of beans. How dare you charge me six dollars as if I ate the entire plate of beans and rice then I could see a charge for that but sneaking that and putting that on the bill how disrespectful she said she was taking The plate off my bill instead she snuck it on there and added it as a side I didn't have a side of beans and rice that came with the whole entire plate, sneaky waitress who told you to do that is that management policy or your sneakiness stealing from the customer with out disclosing to the customer what you're doing you didn't tell me or discuss with me that you were putting a side order of beans and rice on my order. What type of practice is that? or a way of stealing from the customers what type of policy is that She was being FAKE saying she would take the plate off my bill you meant half of it l ate 1/2 of a shrimp & spit the rest out I had to return everything so I I'll be giving the un eaten steak to my Dog I should've just returned the steak as well because I definitely will not be able to eat it when they gave me, how ridiculous to think you should charge for nasty food all of the food was horrible and I had to return the steak we spit it out it was chewy not edible they said everything we ordered was the best not even good enough for my dog and parking is $9.00 no validation

The atmosphere very good. The restaurant is visited by Americans and Latinos. The roast beef dish is very good. I recommend it

They just don't come better. All the nostalgia of a classic longtime SoCal Mexican Restaurant, but the quality has not gone down hill. A great night every time.
