I had some of the most amazing caseworkers that helped me out do a lot
04022025@ 345pm the 4600 northgate blvd step up program I was harrased and called an sexual predator when trying to advocate on my behalf, not feeling comfortable in talking to an child that I don't know. Reported to the case manager Juanita. THE case manger Juanita asks for the child parent. The parent ask why I don't play with their child. Then calls me an sexual predator in front of the case manager and my child. Not feeling safe and uncomfortable file police report for harrasment. I can't run errands or pick up my child without being harrassed. I'm an single parent try to be in compliance with the program not being herrassed. Case manager ask me why I don't associate with the other parents children? Why is an case manager asking me why I should approach another parent or their child without their consent of the parent? Calling me an sexual predator in front of my child an the case manager getting frustrated at me for stating I don't feel comfortable approaching another child isn't okay. Case manager Juanita states why do I think I'm better than anyone. Why is there another client at this program calling someone an sexual predator and they don't know me or my child?
● 04102025 @ 835PM AN SINGLE LADY KNOCKS AT MY DOOR COMPLAINING OF MY CHILD RUNNING BACK AND FORTH. I DONT KNOW THE YOUNG LADY, BUT SHE STATED SHE DIDNT WANT TO BRING IT TO AN CASE MANAGER. SHE WAS RIGHT IT IS QUIET TIME BUT WHY ARE OTHER APPLICANTS APPROACHING ANOTHER IF THEIR IS AN HMIS SYSYTEM ENVOLVE.
● 04032025 I was told that an TWIN RIVER unified school WOULD COME AND HELP OUT WITH ENROLLMENT FOR PARENT SINCE MOVING TO ANOTHER SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATION BY STEP UP PROGRAM. SCHOOLS FOR TWINRIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT ENDS ON JUNE 6TH.
● NO CALL BACK FROM MAIN DEPARTMENT FROM 4600 NORTHGATE BLVD STEP UP PROGRAM. PROGRAM WOULD SEND AN TEXT MESSAGES THAT THEIR TO BUSY.
● STEP UP PROGRAM PERSONNELS DONT RESPOND TO TEXT MESSAGES, OR ANSWER BACK CALLS, VOICEMAILS.
● 05152025 @ 1130am met with new case manager Ladonna Spearman sign an contract, regarding job hunting, to further success of recieving housing through step up.
● the step up program CASE MANAGER suggest that should i know someone in the program and why when I sign an contract that states privacy and equal fair treatment.
08152025@ 1245noon. Witness someone other than house keeping move my personal belongings during WEEKLY cleanup. House keeping were struggling with their clean up cart due to NXT DOOR NEIGHBOR PUTTING THEIR BELONGINGS IN FRONT OF MY DOOR WAY.
08302025@ 255pm random white lady with child in stroller starts asking personal questions before entering MOTEL 6. I KEPT WALKING BECAUSE I DONT KNOW HER. Asking about the trash between the shell station and MOTEL 6. ALSO PERSONAL QUESTION ABOUT MY CHILD.
DO CASE MANAGER FROM THE STEP UP PROGRAM TELL CLIENTS WHAT REVIEWS ARE GOOD OR EXPLAIN TO CLIENTS THE DIFFERENT TYPE OF REVIEWS AND THE OPTIONS.
● WHEN IT COMES TO GUEST VISITING NOT ALL STAFF OF STEP UP KNOW OF THE SERVICES NEEDED TO THAT APPLICANT. Where is the policy for applicants to show other entities of visitors visiting the program rules? No open door policy with director, or program manager due to being to busy. Only respond if on motel sites.
● When asking about policies some staff weren't happy about reiterating policies.

I’m a disabled person with two kids. I get 500 in SSI step up made my rent $189.
I never met the caseworker
I gave them all the information they needed and still a year later no help just talk!
The management and caseworkers damaged my life tremendously by their unlawful actions!
High quality of service and good location.
Georgia Step Up Program messed up my voucher in 2022. Made me reapply AGAIN in 2023. Then I find out that they have a new person handling the applications and that only two applications came back!! then I lost my car, lost my Padsplit room.. couldn't sleep there no more. Winded up stuck at my sisters house in Paulding County with no transportation only to deal with drama so I had to leave her home and now I'm in Florida only to be told because I moved to Florida I'm not eligible for my voucher now!!!! They have cost me a lot of disappointments, depression, suicide thoughts and a lot of money that I do no have!!!! So now I'm sleeping on the floor in my friend's living room with nothing still trying to figure out where to go, how to get help again...THANKS STEP UP!!!!

Ive been with them over 4 years if it weren't for them I wouldn't have got plugged in the the right service I'm speaking of step up on second in Hollywood on Lexington knew what program to apply too to. Get me housed I've been in my apt almost 4 years I'm ready to move tho any 1 bedroom 1 bath apts in Hollywood or west Hollywood that accepts poor credit my max limit is $2,096
Terrible communication, workers do not know what is going on half the time. Bad experience with them overall.

I’ve been homeless for seven years and again tried to get housed Yet got a line of BS again with no respect or results I never want to here about how bad the homeless problem is as when homeless go for help try keep getting turned down the non-Profits are profiting while home are still homeless. With a non Professional staff I did not expect to get the service needed and have been on two housing lists for 1.5 years now I will never waist my time again!
2 years ago they threw me a small blanket and told me to find a spot on the beach!
I woke up & a Mentally I’ll homeless man said: “ would you like me to be your Daddy”??
