Good authentic tacos. My partner had the steak and cheese quesadilla, which was awesome! The atmosphere was a little divey, which reminded me of the taco places where I grew up in Chicago. It made me nostalgic.

I got a carne asada burrito that was practically vegetarian. Contained about 5-6 small pieces of steak. I still ate the burrito because I was hungry but I was upset the entire time.

My favorite bean, rice, and cheese burrito. I am a vegetarian so all I eat in terms of burritos is a BRC. This is the best one. They use black beans.. I am craving them right now but do not live in town so instead I am writing a review for them

Holy Guacamole is located on Main Street and Ashland Avenue in Santa Monica. The parking situation is something else typical for Santa Monica. There’s hardly any street parking, and if you want to park in the lot, it’s a paid parking lot that costs $1.25 per hour. And the fun part? You get to take in the local “views,” like homeless individuals lying on the street passed out. There’s also a Starbucks across the street and an e-bike store right next door, so there’s plenty to check out while you wait for your food from Holy Guacamole. They have a big menu with plenty of options, and they’re best known for their breakfast burrito. I didn’t personally get the breakfast burrito big mistake. I went with the carne asada burrito (no tomatoes), and I definitely should’ve gone with their specialty instead. The carne asada burrito barely had any meat, and it didn’t come with cheese, sour cream, guac, or anything to tie it all together. It had carne asada, rice, some purplish beans, cilantro, and usually tomatoes, but overall it just lacked flavor. Honestly, I wouldn’t get that burrito again if I ever came back here. The place itself is small, with a few tables inside and a few more outside along the street. It’s not the cleanest spot I’ve ever seen, but they make do with what they have. The food was pretty mediocre nothing special and the service was just average. The person who took my order didn’t seem too thrilled to be there either. The overall vibe is what you’d expect from a small spot near the beach in Santa Monica. Would I come here again? Probably not. Would I recommend trying it once? Sure, it doesn’t hurt to give it a shot. Still, if you’re looking for something with real flavor, I’d suggest going somewhere else.

Always awesome. Love it! Everything always fresh. Long time customers 3-5 times a week. Totally recommend the super burrito!

Their super deluxe burrito is a great size to share between two people. However, this is not a place I would really go back to. I feel like the flavor is lacking. The meat was just okay, same with the other fillings and their salsa.

Try the tamales. After years of enjoying good cuisine here I thought to try the tamales a few days ago for lunch, and went back for dinner.
First off, this has been my spot for years and the food is great. My rating is for the guy taking the orders. He’s bumming the place out. Off-putting and unfriendly, passive aggressive and just not the right fit. I’m sorry. Perhaps a happier and more fulfilling job awaits you somewhere else. HG, bring back the feel good energy that this place has always had offered. Thank you for reading

Their nachos were lovely and the lime margarita I had was not too sweet, very friendly staff, all in all good quality.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and the food was great! Even out daughter with food aversions finished her rice and beans (all she will eat at Mexican restaurants) I had the chicken tamale and guacamole. Tamale was served sauced with lots of cheese! Black beans only (not refried) and the hot salsa is a salsa verde, and they do mean HOT! Parking in the back was not too bad and was not extremely expensive either. Very small inside, 2 top tables only or bar top seating.

I had their breakfast burrito which is HUGE, it was really good with potatoes, bacon, lots of egg, cheese and comes with salsa and chips. Honestly for the price I think it’s more than worth it. Neat spot for sure

steak big burrito is delivious
Attitude, expensive, no water and no bathroom. No thanks.
Good quesadilla! They should sell beer.
Was looking for a bean & cheese burrito in the area. It was fine, not a standout. Good size, purpleish-red beans and a generous amount of cheese.
