We've gone to this place for decades, and its quality has never diminished. There's something about the beans that is unique and tasty. We think it's a mix of refritos and kidney beans, but it's also the seasoning. I love their veggie burrito, which comes with their fantastic guacamole inside, but even the basic bean and cheese burrito is supremely satisfying. The fish tacos or fish burrito is a mainstay for me here, but years ago -- before I stopped eating beef -- I found the carne asada to be savory and delicious. Don't forget to get a side of the mole rojo! Once in a while, they forget to give us all the food we ordered. They are fine making up for it (no refunds), but when you've already gotten home with an incomplete order, it's a hassle. My recommendation: Quickly check you've got everything you ordered before leaving with your takeout order. The other alternative is to eat in-house, which is no-frills but perfectly comfortable, especially at the sidewalk tables outside.

My friend and I ate here a few days ago and our food was not hot, not warm, not even luke warm, but Cold. The burrito had odd weird flavors. We both had indigestion for hours afterwards. Since I live a few blocks away I used to eat here much more often. Clearly it has gone downhill. Besides the odd flavors/smell of the burrito ingredients, the salsa was watery. I asked for spicy but both the burrito and salsa were bland and somewhat tasteless. The acoustics inside the restaurant are not good as it gets very noisy-not from guests but from very loud conversations and yelling among the employees, between the screaming cashier and loud cooks. It was nice that it was not at all crowded, almost empty, so perhaps it is no longer as popular in the neighborhood. See other comments mentioning the bland flavorless aspect of their food items. Maybe they have new cooks, chefs or perhaps are using unusual ingredients, as the tastes of the burrito was very bland, flavorless and odd.

The pollo taco was flavorless and dry. The salsa was watery. I give it two stars because it stays open until 2am, but other than that the food was mediocre. Good, efficient service but flavorless food.
Get the Breakfast Burrito! Made the correct way with grilled hashbrowns. House red salsa pairs perfect. Grab a Cappuccino next door at Groundworks and you've got the best value Mexican breakfast in town! Priced just under $11. Let's go vatos!!

Ol school Ocean Park taco dive! My favs : tacos de pollo & The Bean N Cheese burrito ( only $8.75)! W pico de gallo inside. Looks basic inside, but its priced friendly. Apple Pay accepted :) Customizing orders is easy on their website portal. Only negative is their chicken marinade/chips are always over salted. Love the little chunti window opening for quick pick up and go online orders on without getting off my beach cruiser.
