They lied about the parking. I called before I parked and they said it was $2.50 every 2 hours with validation. They forgot to mention that after two hours the parking garage charges you the daily maximum of $25. I fed a complaint with the County of Los Angeles Dept. of Consumer and Business Affairs and they warned ABM Parking they will refer them matter for prosecution if they get any more complaints.

With all of the panic in the city of Los Angeles in with no flights basically leaving the LAX airport. Glad I live in SM and I get to enjoy this Meal !

Great happy hour! Went here with my two sisters and best friend for their happy hour and it exceeded our expectations. Drinks were well made and strong. Appetizers were tasty and perfect for sharing. Service was top-notch, we never once had to think about tracking down a server because he was on top of it! Cool atmosphere and vibe too . Would highly recommend if you're in the Santa Monica / Venice Beach area.

Came here on a whim! Service is great and so was the appetizers we ordered which were spinach dip, brussel sprouts and ahi poke! Sooooo yummmyyy!!!! We also got skinny margaritas and cucumber vodka drinks off the happy hour menu, great great drinks and service!!! Thank you!

These four-star reviews must be purchased. This is the worst restaurant I've been to in years. Not only do they have no idea what they're doing on every front, but all four of us left feeling ill. They could not even get ordering a soda correct. When you cut into the fried chicken the entire crust just came off a chicken breast that Burger King would not serve. Definitely has the five that it's going to be closing down in the next couple months.

Came here for a work event and got to sample their appetizers and great drinks. If you are planning a large group get together, the management can arrange to section off the front patio area of the restaurant. The patio is covered and the food and service was fantastic during our event. We had the perfect amount of privacy while still enjoying the Restaurants ambience. I got to sample some delicious pinot noir as well as their very juicy and succulent meatballs. The wine selection, drinks and meatballs were standouts. I can't wait to come try it here again for a whole meal. Bottomline: For a work event, I give Jimmy's Famous American Tavern two thumbs up, strong and delicious drinks as well as very tasty appetizers!

Great food, good location, good for groups. I hosted a large (30+) group business dinner here and they took amazing care of us. I hope to come back here again.
Very good American food with a more fancy but fun atmosphere. Atmosphere was great when we ate outside with plenty of heaters for every seat if the weather is cold. Only thing that was disappointing was that on the menu brunch was served with tater tots. The two brunch orders didn't come with them.

We came here last night after hanging out at 3rd St Promenade. All the usual chain restaurants in the area were ridiculously busy on the weekend, so we decided to take the nice stroll along the beach over to Jimmy's Famous American Tavern. And we were glad we did this, as we had a great time at Jimmy's! The restaurant was busy, but we were seated promptly and comfortably! Ambience and space were excellent for our group of 4 adults plus a baby. Food was great and pretty standard for an American restaurant/bar scene. I personally tried the cowboy burger and fried chicken sandwich. Both were excellent - worth noting that the chicken sandwich was very generous on amount of chicken! Service was the absolute best, which is what compelled me to come write a review. Everyone was very nice, pleasant, and made our experience so great. It's hard to eat out with a kid, so it's always nice to be greeted with nice people at a beautiful restaurant. Thanks for the great service! I would highly recommend Jimmy's to anyone looking for a great meal in great space!

Wonderful dinner with family and friends right on ocean ave near the pier. Great wine list and food options ate fabulous for all types of eaters Sat on outside patio section which is a closed patio with heating and it was perfect!! Staff is very accommodating Nice for families or adults!! We will be back.

I’d like to mention very nice staff here, I feel welcomed here?? Burgers are delicious and vibe is pretty cool. Good thing music and crowd is not too loud,highly recommend this spot for a nice lunch or dinner.

Exterior doesn't blow you away, but of course that doesn't matter, it's a restaurant. I was surprised - staff were all really nice and friendly, same with bartender. Food was good! Onion rings and fries; usually losers at most sports bars were really good. This place is easy - good food, straight forward menu, nice staff, decent beer selection. -- Grade: A -- Would I go back: yes -- Do I love the massive American flag they have inside? Yes
