This is my go-to spot to meet friends for breakfast. Delicious food that manages to also be good for you. Helpful and friendly waitstaff serve you quickly. Especially lovely on a sunny Santa Monica morning.

I purchased hundreds bars over the past year and yesterday bought 2 and both of them were rock hard! Not sure if they added cement to the recipe but I literally thought I was going to break a tooth. The abundance and fasting bars have been my go to, but never again.

Kreation Café in Santa Monica was exactly what I needed after a few indulgent days of eating out—fresh, energizing, and full of flavor. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Mediterranean chicken bowl with hummus and quinoa, and everything tasted clean and vibrant, like it was made that morning from market ingredients. The chicken was juicy, the greens were crisp, and the house-made tahini dressing tied it all together perfectly. I also grabbed one of their cold-pressed juices—can’t remember the name, but it had cucumber, lemon, and mint and felt like a total reset. The vibe inside is sleek but earthy, with a calming, wellness-forward atmosphere. The staff were friendly and quick to offer suggestions without pushing anything. Whether you’re plant-based or just trying to eat clean without sacrificing taste, this spot totally hits the mark. I left feeling full but light—exactly what a good café should deliver.

Purchased the kinky quinoa from the grab and go fridge and had nausea and vomiting about 15 hours later. Called the restaurant to kindly let them know to remove it from their fridge to prevent other patrons from getting sick, and the staff member told me that its not possible that I got sick from their salad. I emailed kreation and never heard back. I asked the employee for a refund and he told me i need to come in and discuss that with his manager on a day that he is in. Terrible customer service and their quality has significantly dropped off. After many years of being a customer at kreation, I will no longer be returning.

I’ve been a loyal Kreation Kafe customer for many years—eating or shopping here at least twice a week—and until today, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. This afternoon my friend and I stopped by to pick up two iced matcha drinks and a selection of grab‑and‑go items, since the BOGO promotion was advertised as applying to all grab‑and‑go products.
Outside, Sebastian the barista was exceptional: courteous, professional, and attentive. He explained the offer clearly and reminded us to keep our receipt to redeem our BOGO offer. Once inside, I selected 14 grab‑and‑go items (seven paid, seven to be free), plus my two drinks. At checkout, however, the cashier applied the discount only to the cheapest paired items—so instead of a 50% BOGO, I received closer to a 20% savings. I was disappointed, but still made the purchase. When my girlfriend returned to pay for her items, she was brusquely told that the BOGO applied only once per receipt—information we’d never been given beforehand.
We asked to speak with Gil, the store manager, who was dismissive and refused to correct the mistake. Only after we flagged the issue again to Sebastian who offered to intervene—speaking with Gil on our behalf and apologizing when the answer remained “no.” As an olive branch for our trouble (and because we were freezing outside), he kindly offered us a hot ginger‑turmeric drink.
Kreation is at its best when team members like Sebastian are serving—you can feel his genuine commitment to customer care. Today’s experience, by contrast, showed that promotions must be transparently communicated and that managers should be better trained to resolve issues with the same courtesy and professionalism as Sebastian displayed. I hope Kreation invests in more “Sebastians” and ensures every team member upholds the brand’s promise of clear, friendly service.

Frustrating Experience for a Loyal Customer
I’ve been a big fan of Kreation for years—since the very first one opened—and I live in the neighborhood. My friend and I came to the Santa Monica location for the iced matcha BOGO grab-and-go promo. I paid for both matchas while she stayed outside with our dogs. We returned a few minutes later, and while she was able to get her BOGO items, I was told I couldn’t because both drinks were on one receipt.
Even after showing my $20 receipt and explaining that we were two people, the manager, Gill, wouldn’t honor it. I would’ve even bought another matcha to fix the issue, but they said it was too late and wouldn’t count anyway. It wasn’t about the money—it was the principle. We came for the promo, followed the spirit of it, and still got denied.
Really disappointed by how rigid and unhelpful the response was, especially as a longtime loyal customer.
Update: since previous review, I had management approach me addressing, and assessing the problem... truthfully and honestly they have put more then a foot forward at fixing the problem and that makes me more happy to see accountability then the free smoothie. Thank You guys seriously, i will continue to recommend this place over all others❣️...
This review doesn't come easy because I've gotten along with everyone here and I still do I have plenty of smiling faces that I see here every time I come here but there is a select few of people here that are gonna ruin this review for the rest of them. Based off the fact that they think they're going to not give me all my add-ons in my smoothie, and I tip every time, so for you guys not to give me my addons that I asked for specifically In my smoothie hurts my feelings and is getting over on me. I can no longer recommend this place. This is the last time man that this was gonna happen to me.

1st time here. The food was very good they have a sweet tea and fresh juices that are very good as well. The parking was a but difficult since it is on a bust street. The service was great. I believe it was a bit pricy for certain items, but I guess you can say it's worth it. 😉

The staff here only properly serve the white customers. We were sitting in their back patio and watched for over a hour as the staff asked the orders of everyone around us but us. We were directed to do a take out order at the counter even though we repeatedly said we are dining in like the other customers. The take out meal was delayed over and over again. The food is good but it's quite a hostile atmosphere. They clearly want to cater to only a certain demographic. Skip.
