Tacos were exceptional. We went on Taco Tuesday and got 1 plus 1 offer. I ordered thrice and took some as takeaway! The flavour, sauces, juiciness - everything on point. Best Tacos I‘ve had!

This place has the best shrimp tacos and burritos in the area, if not in LA. Excellent tortillas, great sauces, and the purple cabbage pairing is brilliant. I get the burrito at least twice a week—it’s The King. Highly recommend La Purepecha.

A hole in the wall place. Amazing food! If you want authentic Mexican, this is the place!!!

La Purepecha Cocina Mexicana in Santa Monica is a hidden gem with super friendly staff who make you feel welcome right away. Loved the complimentary chips and salsa — fresh, crunchy and full of flavor! I tried the California burrito; flavors were on point but I do wish the fries inside had been crispier and the wrap a bit easier to hold. Portions are generous, prices fair, and I appreciate that they even have a clean restroom for customers.

We looked up best fish taco and seeing this spots pictures and video of fresh made tortillas, we had to come. The staff were friendly and attentive. She was actually making fresh corn tortillas when we walked in. It is small for dine in but it was only 2 of us. We ordered a fish and shrimp taco, they were excellently cooked well. Fresh salsa, fresh fish that was grilled and not batted was a 💯 % for us!!! The food was ready promptly and left us wanting more. We will definitely be returning for our next trip.

Got the asada , pastor , fish, carnitas. All full of flavor with thick homemade tortillas. Authentic “from Mexico” level taste. Enough said. The aguas and chips were mid.
