Went to celebrate a family member's birthday after going to another restaurant that was closed unexpectedly. Tried to reserve a table for a party of 6 before opening, but was told to just check in at the Host Stand. Went and were turned away because they were booked completely. Thankfully the GM Scott came out and got us a table as long as we were out by a specific time.
The place is smaller than expected, but certainly nice. Our server was absolutely wonderful, and very attentive. The entrees were incredible and the desserts decadent.
So grateful they were able to accommodate last second and for such a larger party. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to the GM Scott.♡

Absolutely the best Italian Food in Santa Monica. My good too because it's consistently fantastic!

La Vecchia is a bustling, fun restaurant with high sealings so the noise is not annoying. Their mussels in garlic white wine broth are the best! I also had pan fried branzino on a bed of delicious pesto. The flavors are just divine. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you want a small qiet restaurant Id recommend Via Veneto. But for a bit more casual but energetic vibe with absolutely delicious food I would recommend La Vecchia highly

Most favorite restaurant in all of LA. The food is outstanding. Always fresh. You can taste that it's made to order. There is not one bad choice on their very extensive menu. My go to favorite however, for 33 years is the Tri-colore salad, the rigatoni bolognese and the chocolate raspberry taurine. And did I mention the bread? Wow! Amazing! Comes out piping hot with a side of garlic olive oil. And the staff! From the greeter at the door to all of the servers and wait staff, it's a fabulous experience. Best, best restaurant in all of Los Angeles! You will NOT be disappointed .

When I first moved to California from Canada via Hawaii, I was taken to La Vecchia on a date in 1993. But I am still #ageless ;) The linguini von vongole along with the bread dipping basil garlic olive oil are still the same great examples of the #deliciousnessoflife that is part of my #happy88 brand...consistently amazing every time, and the only place I will have Italian in California since I am a snob after having a lot of pasta in Italy. Didn't marry the guy but I am happier with the pasta lol! I give it an 8 out of 8 stars, and for those of you who don't know #AsianOprah 8 is a lucky number in Chinese, a homophone for Good Fortune!

Love this restaurant, love the menu, love the management. What more can I say? A definite gem in the neighborhood and even those of us who live in the valley find it worthwhile to make the trek.

The food is always fresh and reliable. We started with the calamari which was fried to perfection with a delish marinara dipping sauce. We had the chicken parm with pasta. How is there an up charge for pasta instead of mashed potatoes when pasta is way cheaper? Also we requested vodka sauce, another up charge and they only put it on the pasta. It was almost $40 for chix parm...: no bueno it was a little thick but nicely cooked. Small amount of pasta especially for the upcharge. All and all a nice meal but too $$ for what it was. Server was good.

we LOVE LaVecchia! Whenever we visit the Los Angles area, we make sure it's one of our restaurant stops. Everything from the service to dessert is great. Food, great wine and beer list, and the ambiance are perfect. Thank you for another wonderful dinner.

We've been going to LaVecchia for nearly 30 years that included several owners. What has remained a constant throughout is the attention and care about customers and service. The food and value has always been good, and the atmosphere energizing. LaVecchia is reliably a great local restaurant! It's no wonder it customers keep coming back and bringing new ones. Always the best. Our go-to for a special dinner and an adult vibe. Great food. Pro staff. No big bass music (I am soooo tired of that) -we like to talk during dinner, not shout.

La Vacchia was recommended to us as an Italian Restaurant with all the flavors of a New York Italian Eatery. We were not disappointed.
