Super duper yummy salmon bagel!! Strawberry matcha is rlly goated too

Impressed it actually lived up to the hype. The addition of cucumber to their lox bagel was interesting in a good way as it added an earthiness and a thicker bite. I like that the lox wasn’t paper thin and actually had some chew to it — they also tasted exactly like the Kirkland smoked, no shame if it is, it’s the best in the game. I really liked the pickled onion because they add sweetness and acidity as well as the inclusion of lemon zest over juice because it added acidity without unnecessary moisture.
I was also surprised at how much I like The Mia. The avocado was super creamy, perfectly salted and I loved how the Fresno chilis cut through the fat. The greens were also well seasoned and added pepperiness. While I did enjoy the pile of toppings, they just kind of fall off and make the bagel harder to eat than it needed to be.
Layla Bagels is still maybe a bit fancy for my taste, but definitely worth the experience.

I’m finally hit up Layla‘s bagels. I think it’s a good bagel please. I think I prefer courage bagel to this bagel place. The Matcha was OK definitely would wanna try out the different bagel. It’s a good spot if you want if you’re in the west side.

Delish food 😋

They apparently don’t take online orders when they are busy (when you want to order ahead the most) and when you walk in it’s just a chaotic mosh pit of people standing around and you have no idea who is in line or who is waiting for an order. Left without ordering anything. Logistical disaster.

The line on weekends is usually a 35-45min wait, but they are quick once you order.
The bagels looked amazing, but the taste was slightly better than average in my opinion. I prefer New York bagel spots a bit more.
Worth a try, but probably not a revisit

Trendy bagel spot with high quality bagels and a chicken crowd. Great experience, fresh, clean, and vibrant place, perfect for a meeting or a nice meal in the morning.

Bagels look pretty but the flavours are not that amazing. The bagels itself don’t have nice chewiness to them and the crust is too hard.

Love the staff, they are both friendly and helpful. You can mix your two bagel halves to taste different options. Bagel options are somewhat limited to plain, poppy, everything, jalapeño cheddar etc. no cinnamon raisin or blueberry for the sweeter options (just an observation, not a deal breaker). You can also purchase coffee/tea from the barista. There are also some sundries like chips, pretzels if you’re ordering lunch. Patrons and their dogs in line can be interesting. It’s cute but would prefer them outside as the store can get crowded.

People recognize the store name on the bag when I make my way to work. And people have shared their favorite order or share they’ve been meaning to go.

Parking: Parking on Ocean Park is hit and miss. I’ve found parking easily but you may have walk from to a block away at most.
