M&D Margo's kitchen was very nice. We sat outside on their patio on a perfect day. The wait staff was very attentive and quick, the food was good and the ambiance even better. I got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. The omelets looked very well done and tasty. They prices were a bit steep, but it's as you would expect for a restaurant right on the strip of Montana Street in Santa Monica.

LOVE!
Get in here. It’s a go!
Friendly people, great food, a laid back yet elegant setting.
The bread is excellent, the calzone divine, the pizza artisanal and the mocktails refreshing.
Portions are large (luckily I like leftover pizza for breakfast -- pro-tip: serve with an over medium egg on too).
Desserts (chocolate cake and flourless chocolate cake) were well balanced and not reliant on just being sweet.
Coffee (decaf) blend was very good.
Passionfruit mocktail, very good.
My dining companion and I met one of the owners (the M in M&D) who was quite friendly and you can tell really cared not just about the food but also the experience.
Pro and con: the menu is very deep. Which means lots of choices. Is there such a thing as too many choices? Maybe not, but I had to go through the menu several times as each page offered a staggering array of choices.
I'll be back to complete the trifecta: brunch, lunch and dinner... maybe all this week.
Yeah, it's that good.
It's a go!

Inedible, couldn’t finish my plate. It was much better under previous owner, nothing related to all the awesome reviews!

Had an epic birthday dinner last night at Margo's/MD Kitchen. Dylan and Matteo were the consummate hosts. Treated my family of 6 like their family. Crab cakes, mozzarella bites, salmon, peach burrito all delicious! Extensive kid's menu for my 3 grandkids. Perfect experience.

I ordered the fajita wrap & a chipotle chicken sandwich. The driest sandwich I’ve ever had for over $15. The wrap fell apart and the rice in it was messy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant work on the quality of food before charging nearly $20 per item.

Pleasantly surprised. We popped in for a lunch with our 2yo. They were accommodating for kids with high chair and good kids menu. They have an extensive menu from brunch to lunch to dinner, good house made sourdough bread to start. We both got the crispy chicken salad. The half size was a bit smaller than I expected but packed with flavor. Husband chicken tortilla soup was one of the best he ever had. Kids chicken tender and French fries were hot and good enough for us to eat. Will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and lunch at M&D Margo Kitchen. I was thrilled to be able to enjoy a healthy waffle/egg/fruit breakfast and my two friends enjoyed a burger with an egg on top and grilled cheese with soup. Great to have a breakfast, lunch and dinner place with locals running it and an interesting and tasty menu for all day dining, inside or out.
Cute spot, but the food and cocktails were not great. We tried many things: wine, margaritas, pizza, seafood, appetizers, ahi. Overall nothing impressed and the prices were all very high
Three diners, three different types of wraps (steak, veggie, turkey). Everyone enjoyed their meals and happily took leftovers home. All of us will be returning. Our waiter was very personable and helpful.
GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, VERY GENEROUS PORTIONS We ate at M&D Margo's Kitchen for the first time tonight and it will NOT be the last time. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the tortilla soup, i order this a lot of places and this was one of the best. I had the half chicken, and it was a very generous portion (I recommend it also). It comes with two sides, i had the house salad and the tortilla soup. One of my pet peeves is food being too salty for me, so i always ask for no salt (or at least no added salt) and, unlike many other places, my request was honored. Everything was excellent, exactly how i ordered it. The waitress, knowing i didn't want salt, when she gave the sauce options for my chicken, made a point of asking if i wanted the sauce on the chicken or on the side, which was much appreciated. I ordered the teriyaki sauce, which was excellent but talked to one of the owners later, who told me to try the BBQ sauce, it was one of their specialties. My wife had the grilled salmon, and she doesn't like butter on any dishes, and they complied with her request as well. She had the asparagus side, which was many big stalks (she says six stalks but i thought it was more than that). She said the salmon was excellent and cooked as she likes it. She also had the butternut squash soup, which was the only disappointment of the night, she said it tasted as if sugar had been added and it was weak. Her issue may be that she was comparing it to her own butternut squash soup, which is superb, so nothing is going to stand up to that. But i tried it and thought it was very good. All the portions are very generous. Most of their entrees come with two sides, and there are two pages in the menu devoted to sides, so you will find something you want and like. And, even though not on the sides pages, we asked for and got a cup of any soup as one of the sides. I recommend that. The calzone (served to the table next to us) was huge, two people would (and did) have troubl
