Dinner was very good and tasty. Service was good but not anythong spectacular. The location is awesome with one of the best views of the sunset and Pacific Ocean.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately my visit fell short of expectations. The atmosphere itself was nice, but the overall experience didn’t match.
The biggest issue was the cleanliness—specifically the silverware. When I sat down, I noticed that the utensils were visibly dirty, which immediately set the tone for the rest of the meal. Staff replaced them when asked, but it’s something that should be checked before guests are seated.
The food was okay, nothing terrible but nothing memorable either. Given the price and the reviews I had seen beforehand, I expected better quality and attention to detail.

Just what we were looking for! Me and my teenage sons just wanted somewhere to sit in the gorgeous setting sun with some cold drinks. If you sit in the rear deck, you can catch the sunset.
The margarita was very nice and even the small is quite large. We got the nachos with guacamole and carne asada which was really good and filling, even for 3 people (we were only after an appetizer to keep us going in between meals).

Maria Sol Cantina is a nice place on Santa Monica Pier to hang out and have a drink and look over the water.. If you are there for the sunset, its a great spot to watch the sunset on the patio.

We weren’t expecting much from a restaurant located in the very touristy area of Santa Monica Pier, so we walked in with some skepticism. But Maria Sol turned out to be a delightful surprise.
The prices were reasonable for this location and the portions were generous. We left full and happy, especially after enjoying the Viva Mexico burrito, which was packed with flavor and easily the highlight of our meal.
The service was friendly and efficient. Our server made us feel welcome and refills arrived quickly without us having to ask.
If you’re exploring the pier and craving good Mexican food with a view, Maria Sol is worth a stop.

Great spot right on the pier with unbeatable ocean views 🌊. The shrimp tacos and sizzling fajitas are delicious, and the margaritas (try the mango!) really hit the spot. Loved the fresh tableside guac too.
It does get busy around sunset so service can be a little slow, and prices are on the higher side — but honestly, you’re paying for the view + vibe. Totally worth it for a sunset meal.

We had lunch at maria sol. We had a great time. It was perfect weather that day our server Javier set up our table by the corner overlooking the beach and mountain. We had tres karnes fajitas it was so good. We all like it. Our server is very nice. We all agree to give 5 stars for our server Javier.
