amazing service. Both ladies were so kind and attentive. I really recommend the tonkatsu Ramen and the Bulgogi Ramen 🍜. Such good pork chashu 🤤🩷. We also tried the mango green tea— also great! The only thing we did not love was the sushi ☹️. But would definitely come back again for the ramen!

Were hungry so we found this Japanese restaurant at the corner of 4th st and Wiltshire Blvd. The place is clean and quiet. We got seated by the window looking out into the sidewalk. I ordered the Chicken Ramen. My wife ordered the Black Garlic Ramen. The food came in fast and was really tastefully prepared with the usual bone broth but it tasted really great! Bone broth wasn’t salty at all. Both were prepared professionally. We additionally ordered the Chirasi Bowl. For the price of $27 for the bowl it is a little high but I guess due to the rising cost of fresh fish. We are just glad that the Ramen was really affordable and was better than Silver Lake Ramen.

Got my food, but my son’s food came out 20 minutes later. A table of 8 came and ordered and got their food before my son’s. One waiter went to check twice. When I asked another if they forgot the food, he just said, “No, they are just making it look pretty for you.”…

Ramen is on point 🙌 love this place but if it closes at 12am then it should close at that time... I went there at 11:20 and they wouldn't serve me in house... super disappointed 😞

A hidden gem near Santa Monica Pier! Great value, tasty food, and friendly service. The Maru Ramen has a light yet flavorful broth with generous portions. The Yellow & Orange Volcano rolls with seared salmon, spicy crab, and cheese were unique and delicious. The Sashimi Combo was beautifully presented, fresh, and an amazing deal. Perfect spot for a casual meal or after watching the sunset—highly recommend!

Fantastic decor, the flowers dangling from the ceiling creates a very cosy vibe.
Food was pretty good! I had the ramen and California rolls and both were tasty.
Service was slow and inattentive though.
Had to flag down wait staff to place order, request more water, and to pay the bills, despite them walking back and forth next to the table the entire time.

Maru Sushi & Ramen completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the sashimi combo, and every piece was incredibly fresh — melt-in-your-mouth quality. The salmon skin salad was a great surprise: light, crispy, and felt like a healthy choice without sacrificing flavor. But the real showstopper was the Orange Volcano Roll — it literally comes out on fire! Not only was it visually stunning, but the flavors delivered too.
Friendly staff, cozy vibe, and top-notch food — I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful dinner at Maru. The restaurant feels cozy, the service was warm and attentive, and the sushi rolls and sashimi were incredibly fresh. We also enjoyed some excellent sake. We’ll definitely be back.

Such a great find in Santa Monica! The vibe here is super cozy with cute decor, perfect for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. It’s close to the beach too, which makes it ideal for a post-meal stroll. ❤️❤️

I tried the sashimi combo, the Orange Volcano roll, plus some sushi favorites: salmon, salmon belly, tuna toro, and tamago egg. Everything was fresh and good in portion. The Orange Volcano had the perfect balance of spice and richness (and had a little fire show!) To end the meal, I got ice cream, which was the perfect sweet finish 🍨.

Service was friendly, prices were very reasonable for the area, and the overall vibe felt stylish yet relaxed. Definitely one of those spots I’d come back to again and again!

The food overall was good, and we enjoyed the flavors. The ramen was satisfying and fresh, and most of the sushi rolls were tasty. However, a few of the rolls came out with the ingredients blended together in a way that made them a bit mushy, which took away from the texture and presentation we were expecting.

Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, so with some more attention to how the rolls are prepared, this could easily be a great spot for both ramen and sushi.
