While the food and atmosphere was nice, it seems that this restaurant doesn’t seem to put much care into helping customers with allergens. The menu lists some ingredients of the plates but excludes important allergen information from these lists and does not include allergen symbols either. I even informed my server of my tree nut allergy but I was still served a dessert that was full of walnuts (which were not listed on the menu). Unfortunately, I ended up having an allergic reaction and had to leave my dinner early.

Such a pleasant surprise “finding” Massilia hiding in plain sight in Santa Monica. A wonderful blend of European flavors in a setting with a chic vibe. Very reasonable happy hour prices for delicious cocktails and bites. On the dinner menu, pasta entrees (tagliatelle and rigatoni) were both lovely but the true star was the 8-hour lamb shank over pureed potatoes with a Cabernet sauce. It was fall off the bone tender and so flavorful. Our excellent and enthusiastic server, Jonathan, recommended the chocolate mousse for dessert. Heaven in a bowl!!We will be repeat customers, for sure!

Love to come here for their pasta and pizza but the couscous was always calling my name. I come from Brussels and I was afraid to be disappointed. But that’s no way to live a life, so I went this time and tried it !It is delicious, will probably come back every time I crave a couscous!It’s probably my new favorite spot in town!Plus, a word for the amazing staff that made the birthday all the party girl’s wishes come true! Great team!

We came in after a lovely spa day at Tikkun Spa (across the street) for an appetizer and the ambiance was perfect for a light bite to eat! The service was impeccable and the roasted pepper bruschetta was divine. Great wine selection, too.Vegetarian options: Nice variety!

y’all cannot f around with allergies. i ordered a sandwich to-go and told them no dairy. there was butter on the bread and the broccolini was definitely cooked in butter too. on top of that, it took them 20+min…a long wait for something i can’t even eat. the sandwiches themselves are subpar—my husband got a spanish chorizo sandwich that was literally a sausage on bread. noooo.
Massilia is one of our favorite restaurants in town! The food is great, the ambiance is gorgeous, and the service is impeccable. We particularly love Jean Michel who takes incredible care of us and makes us feel like old friends. He’s the main reason we keep coming back!

Terrible experience! If I could give 0 stars I would! We went for the valentines set course and the food was terrible and not filling! They started us off with 3 dips and 2 pieces of bread with chopped up (not grilled????) veggies next to it! The steak was an extremely cheap cut and had the texture of a leather shoe. Terrible experience waste of money will not be going back.
