Fantastic food. However on two visits (lunch - not busy & dinner - busy) we found initial time from seating to serving of drinks was long and unpleasantly slow. Server asked before we had even had thirty seconds with a menu, so both times we asked for a minute. 15 minutes later they reappeared. Then it takes another 10 for the drinks to manifest. We waited 20 minutes at lunch and over 25 at dinner — just for drinks. So either go with your drink order ready right away or be prepared to wait. Food is exquisite. Crab cakes, steak tacos, salads, T-bone steaks all perfect. We also really enjoyed the rich chocolate layer cake for dessert with dinner. Aside from slow service — both at lunch and dinner — we found each meal to be top-notch, and worth the price tag.

Amazing cocktails, steaks and sauces. Great customer service. Accommodating to our request for patio seating. They comped our dessert since we were celebrating a special occasion and that was much appreciated! We've been here several times and it's consistently a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Food was really mediocre in proportion to the exorbitant prices. The wagu ribeye was as flat as a skirt steak, and as small as a pancake. Ridiculous for $92. The service was perfectly pleasant but again, not up to par. Clearly a place that is trading on its location and has let the food and service falter well below the price tags that it has only increased. Won't return.
Excellent food and service. Drinks were terrific as well. You can't beat the view either! If you're looking for a steak - or anything else really, Meat On Ocean is a winner.

Not just Santa Monica, but around here.A famous high-class steak restaurantThe aged meat was very delicious.Other seafood was also delicious.It's called a patio, which means terrace seating, and outside seating must be requested at the time of reservation.They won't let you in even if it's empty after you enter.Enjoy watching the sunset on the patioI think it's better to enjoy the delicious food and the wonderful atmosphere inside the American restaurant.It depends on the time of year, but in April I think it would be better to have a jacket or something to put on.There is also a bar inside, so you can feel free to use the bar, so I think it's a good idea to have a quick drink.I said this at the bar when I entered, and they showed me a seat at the bar.You will be given a bar menu.I think you can probably order normal food if you order normally.Atmosphere inside the store, cheerful serversBartender at the bar counterPerhaps because it's by the sea, it doesn't feel formal, but has a fun, open feel.The store is large, so you can enjoy it without hesitation even if you bring your children.While you wait, the meat is displayed like a shop window, so I think you can kill time there.There is also a slope, so I thought it would be easy to use in a wheelchair.Valet parking is available in front of the store.I think it's $15. So, I'm sure there are cheaper places nearby, but if there's not much difference, I think this is easier.When you enter the front of the store from the seaside street, there will be a valet parking person standing there, so leave your key there.Instead, you will receive an exchange ticket with a phone number written on it.When I want to go home, I call and give my number and they bring it to me and send a text to my phone.I don't know what will happen if you don't have an American phone.

I have visited here with my husband during the honeymoon but it was a VERY uncomfortable experience for us.All dishes are not bad but service perspective.First we asked the steak at the middle of medium and mediam raw but he(server) said that's a medium plus(I don't know why).And also we have found that there are some bread served in the tables except ours! So I asked him again and he answered that breads served when customer request typically. Bit weird.I have double check with manager after dining and she confirmed it used to be served in dinner regardless any request.If he says sorry at first when not to serve the bread, it doesn't matter. But he lies to us and it makes us feel very uncomfortable.Manager said sorry to us instead but would be better if server did not lie.

We had a spectacular time! The food and service was amazing!!! If you like meat and good food this is your place. Amazing corkage policy and service. If you bring your own wine, plan on tipping extra. I ended up tipping 64% because the service was there and soo good, that it felt like this was an incredible value for a 3 1/2 hour dinner! This is THE place for high quality aged meats in LA.
