Best meal ever! Each dish was perfectly assembled and the various textures and flavors worked together harmoniously. The staff were all delightful to talk to, and we enjoyed watching the precision of the kitchen. Chef Ken Takayama came over a couple times, and we learned about the Californian sourcing of ingredients. We enjoyed how small the restaurant is and the focused attention we received. What an amazing evening!
Great quality food and service. The truffle add on per guest was a little steep considering the truffles seemed not fully in season as they were lacking the full flavor. Other than that, amazing experience.
Incredible in every way. Beautiful, intimate room. Stellar service. And mind-blowing food. A night to remember.
Unbelievably terrific experience, service was stellar and cuisine was dynamic and well crafted. Fully deserving of the Michelin stars. Bravo.
My wife and I had a phenomenal experience here. Everything was on point from the food, service, presentation, and ambience in such an intimate setting. We loved listening to vinyl records while enjoying such a lovely evening. Would highly recommend and look forward to dining here again when we are back in LA.
Melisse is not the same as it used to be...quality dropped. Girlfriend even got sick. Everything was sour and too salty. Will never come back.
Exceptional experience. Everything tasted magnificently. Really appreciate the staff for the cooking and service.
Incredible! With the kitchen right in front of you the experience is more exciting and more intimate! The food/tastes were beautiful to see and delicious to eat.
Dining at Mélisse was a mesmerizing experience. From the refined atmosphere to impeccable service, everything impressed. The sea urchin dish was absolutely divine, elevated further by a flawless wine pairing. Each course felt like a work of art, creating an unforgettable journey that lingers beautifully in memory.
Absolutely amazing meal. Food, presentation and service were all worthy of a two Michelin star restaurant! Seeing Chef Citrin in action was an added bonus. Look forward to trying Citrin next door!

I have eaten at Melisse twice and both times were absolutely incredible. The staff are fabulous and attentive from the time of setting up the evening through the end of the meal. They are willing to make the evening special and attend to any needs you may have.
The food is superb: flawless execution and well balanced flavors. Every bite is meticulously planned and explained by the staff.
I even noted to my guest that I’m often disappointed in desserts at high-end restaurants in comparison to the savory courses, but that was not the case at Melisse. Here, the dessert delivers on the same level as the savory courses as an equal: elevated and elegant without being so overly complex or reaching to lose the sweet punch expected in a dessert.
The finishing touch of the night was being sent away with a copy of the menu as you specifically experienced it (down to the supplements you selected) for both food and wine complete with the date you dined in an elegant envelope as a keepsake. I have dined at many 3-Star restaurants, and very few have done this: I love that Melisse includes this as a part of its standard practice; it’s a very special touch.

Completely blown away by a dinner service that was choreographed with the precision of a dance, which is fitting, because I sat down to a decorative plate adorned with the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers while Tattoo You played on a turntable. Fantastic dishes from start to finish that satisfy a whole spectrum of culinary flavors and techniques. If you don't like wine, you can order a cocktail with dinner like I did and jam out to the Stones, Amy Winehouse, and James Brown while eating some of the finest bites in Los Angeles and quite frankly, my life.
Amazing meal. Exceeded my expectations, even for a Michelin 2 star. Excellent service, outstanding food - every dish was exceptional and the meal somehow kept getting progressively better, and cool but intimate vibe. Couldn’t have been better.
