I bring back bagels in my suitcase from here for my gf dad in Texas - they’re that good! Incredible bagels and pastries at a good price point, even if you’re not gf. So happy they opened a spot here!!
This is the only place for gluten free breads and pastries! They picked up where Breadblok left off. I actually have to drive 3 hours to get to the Santa Monica location but it's worth it! And try the vegan sausage and vegan bacon on your bagel. It is life-changing. They do not shy away from spices, seasonings and fermentation. I really appreciate all of the work they put into making gluten free amazing for their customers. Cheers to Modern Bread & Bagel.

We were the only customers and yet the cashier kept trying to ignore us which was super weird. Also their coffee machine and bathrooms weren't working... There was also a lot of stuff lying on their bar seating counter so it made it feel like we were not supposed to be there.
They had quiche just sitting out on the counter...
