I dunno.. everything just a little off. Very little care and love put into the rolls. Obviously overloaded with rice and tiny slices of fish as can be expected with AYCE.. that is forgivable. What isn't forgivable is old funky truffle oil, bad scallops and soggy tempura. Plus the sexy roll had that olive garden balsamic vinaigrette on it which, personally I don't think belongs anywhere near Japanese food at all.
What I did enjoy: salmon collar was nice fried, and the albacore was fatty and delicious.
Service was okay. She let my tempura sit in the pass until it got mushy and didn't fill my water. I'd say just spend the $50 somewhere nicer.

Good sushi is a little too expensive for the quality but not bad. Convenient location.

Had AYCE for lunch. It was a good deal, and I'm happy we tried it, but I probably wouldnt go back. The variety of rolls were solid, but didnt love the quality of the fish. Didnt feel the freshest, and everything was pretty mediocre.

Horrible service. They lost out on a $400+ check because they refused to take avocado out of a crunch roll when ordered as part of AYCE.. but would do so if ordered as ala carte.... say what? Walked out. Went to a regular sushi spot and had a way better experience.

Was on the west side and wanted to find a proper AYCE sushi spot. Came here for lunch which is 12-4pm and was pleasantly surprised. They had lots of free parking which is nice for Venice. Lunch price was $35.95. Fish was good, they have a decent selection, chefs were very friendly and helpful, and food came out fast. I like they do offer a few premium pieces for lower price and they have salmon collar on menu, always fav of mine.

Food was just so subpar - salmon tasted stale, rice was not fresh. Even the "premium" salmon toro felt old and not fatty enough? We got there around 6pm. Massive blobs of rice too.
Service was great and they were so nice. I like the overall location just because it gives Diner vibes, so it's cool. but the quality of the sushi is unforgivable and i'm not coming back.
