Service was super rude. My son and his girlfriend were seated down while waiting 5 minutes while our Lyft arrived, and the server kept threatening to kick him out because he was seated at a 4 person table. That's not Irish hospitality at all! The service was so slow that we had to get up and go get our own drinks from the bar. Then, once we were able to order food, it was mediocre. Overall, I wouldn't go back unless they figure out their issues. They weren't even playing any Irish music....

Pricey, but good, very good. The owner is friendly and professional. He was impressed that my 3 sons are Eagle Scouts and all serve in the Army. I enjoyed a burger, fries and a glass of wine. My son treated me.

I'm an Irish guy from Glendale and a US veteran to boot, been to a lot of restaurants and bars... this pub is wonderful. Love the food, atmosphere, and people that work there are great peps. The owner is a super friendly guy "Willy" and was always walking around talking to people, like a good business owner will do. No wonder this bar has been and is a staple for Santa Monica. Parking is okay, but it's Santa Monica! Lol Anyways, love this bar! Next time I'll take a picture of the Irish breakfast that I ordered on Saturday 03/16/24. It was GREAT!

Owner and waitstaff/bartenders are very kind and attentive. Food was good. Three stars because bouncer (middle aged white guy with glasses) is a hyper-agressive lunatic. I have never met a bouncer who treats women and men alike as rudely and aggressively as he consistently does for absolutely no reason. People even go out of their way to be polite to him and it seems to just make him even more apt to be mean to them. Our whole party arrived one by one, and each person had a different story when they sat down about the bouncer being insanely hostile to them for no reason. He ruins this bar.

This comfortable tavern has good food and service. Lunch here is always the highlight of my week. The staff has huge personality, and the place feels like a neighborhood pub should. Indoor and outdoor seating with sports on for all major games. Weeknights have trivia games and other entertainment. It's a fun Santa Monica spot with characters that never disappoint!

Walked into O'Briens today to have a beer on saint paddy's day. We are standing in the entry and the waiter with a pony tail walks up to us and says "would you like a table or are you guys just trying to stand in my way". We joke about it and go sit down. My friend then asks for food for the table and he responds "are you going to tell me what you want or should I just guess". My other friend happens to know the owner and speaks to him (which was likely poorly advised). The owner then comes to our table furious and begins screaming at everyone at the table and kicks us out of his bar meanwhile they have my credit card. I do not blame the owner for his actions, other than his reaction was very much over the top. On the other hand genuinely have never experienced a waiter act so rude for absolutely no reason. I'm one to admit when I'm wrong and do not write negative yelp reviews. After my experience at O'Brien's I will never be going back and recommend anyone thinking about attending to not do so.
Excellent neighborhood pub for great conversation sports galore especially premier league and European soccer and the food is exceptional for Irish bar and the proprietor is a riot and a lot of fun.

Came for a morning watch party for my team that an alum organized, had a homemade bagel with me as I was running late. Immediately ordered a few beers and had my wrapped bagel sitting on the outside table. Irish waiter came by and legit yelled at me for having a bagel there. Legit just put in a $30 plus order. Completely understand if they don't want any outdoor food but yelling at a paying customer for a bagel is absurd. Yea. never coming there again.
